In their mind, it was to "add value to men by stepping away from women." Which, from multiple accounts of when it first began, they claimed it DID legitmately help them for a while until they noticed it becoming what it is now.

What is it now? It's quite obviously a misogynistic "self-help" copy where podcasters on YouTube generate THOUSANDS of dollars off of unfortunate confused, lonely men and their suffering just to continue them in a cycle of being entirely bitter at women. They claim "wE HeLp MeN aDd VaLuE To ThEmSeLvEs". When in actuality, when you do the slightest bit of research by diving into TRP podcasters like Coach Gregg Adams and Kevin Sameuls, Fresh&Fit, etc, you will quickly notice that all they do is find women who are enthralled and obsessed with social media attention, or whom have ungodly standards, deplorable women with ego issues, etc, (i.e. not the women you'll find in the real world. Small percentage will you find these types of women. The internet tends to polarize these women.) And they'll associate it to EVERY woman. This is saying in the same breath "Not all men are like that.". It's contradictory. How can a sex of the human species be "all like" what the opposite claims, when the opposite isn't? It's silly pseudo-scientific philosophy.

Notice that there is never any videos that these guys make (while getting thousands of dollars in superchats btw) where they will discuss how to better your lifestyle with exercise, how to improve your financial stability, how to improve yourself mentally, meditation, improving yourself by being more confident. Never. I never saw any videos like that. Ever.

In my opinion, it's to blame women as a collective for literally every ill that exists in the world.

Job got outsourced? It's because women can vote.

Late-stage capitalism got you earning less than you should be making? It's because women are in the workforce in large numbers (she took your job!)

A man lost his marriage after cheating? That b*** had it coming because she got fat/old.

The woman was the one who committed marital infidelity? It's because feminism allowed her to cheat, women never committed infidelity when more of them were 100% dependent on a man's income.

High-fructose corn syrup got the population in general struggling with an obesity crisis? It's because of feminism. Also, only women can be fat. Fat men don't exist or count.

Too much traffic on the highway? It's because there are too many single moms. But also women should not be allowed to control the number of children they have and should be forced to make many more humans.

And so on and so forth.

Red pill exists to absolve men of responsibility for any frustration they encounter in their lives and to give them a neat and tidy explanation for why any problem they have exists: women having rights.

It’s a hyper-rationalist, materialist, bad-faith biological essentialist reaction to the social upheaval of the last century - those (continuing) upheavals principally being women’s liberation (the pill, equal rights) and rampant late-stage capitalism having a compounding effect on most male’s typical expectations of life and their roles within society.

It’s core purpose? Probably to just stroke egos and offer some form of consolation to bitter and disillusioned young men who aren’t where they want to be in life and are facing a kind of despair.

It’s an attractive community because sadly modern feminism doesn’t appear to self-evidently offer anything like the same level of in-group consolations and victimhood status to men affected by the patriarchy as it does to women.

It just lumps guilt and a measure of emotionally-leveraged responsibility for dismantling the patriarchy onto them without necessarily making it clear what the preferable alternatives would be for men in a society where they’ve been made to feel like they’ve committed Original Sin for being male or that the only possible forms of positive masculinity are the ones that stymie men’s ambitions and life choices in favour of women.

Self-development. You get there if you don't get along with women, but you quickly begin to understand that life is not about women, but about personal growth.

As with any community, if you are not a conformist, you get the best out of it for yourself. Redpill is a great community for people who have problems with boundaries, discipline and codependency in relationships.

Of course, you have to be careful not to go to extremes. In life, you have to be able to balance everything. Whether it's the gym, religion, redpill, relationships, etc. Take the best you can get and be a conscious person.

Male self improvement, core principles including but not limited to getting your body right, getting your money right, getting on your purpose and goals in life, and understanding modern-day women and dating, and to not put women on a pedestal as many young guys are brought to doing, is it perfect? Absolutely not but overall pretty helpful if you have the right mindset
