Tbh I got to 6 seconds.🤢 It used to make me profoundly sad that there are so few marriageable men- especially for Black 🇺🇸 women. Now I feel validated that I am not crazy or too picky- the good, single men simply do NOT exist for many of us of all races.

It is not my intention to make anyone depressed but the difference is that when I kept believing that it was something I was doing vs the reality of the society that I live in- I was able to process my grief and let go of the shame of “not being picked by a good man.” 🤢🤣😂 (I have maybe met 3 SINGLE, financially stable, physically attractive, intellectually curious, kind, monogamous men in my entire life 😱)

It is too radical a message to tell women the truth that some of us will “lose out” in dating/ love UNLESS we compromise. But the “compromise” is a subpar relationship where we must sacrifice our needs. I’ve tried dating men who made less money, who I wasn’t attracted to, etc…and it doesn’t work.

These relationship coaches/gurus might have good intentions AND they are selling hopium and making money with this message. If women accepted reality, they wouldn’t be lining these 🤡🤡 pockets.

I feel like black men are the only ones that encourage this "build him up" shit. But nobody encourages that for black women. They are so quick to throw us away once we don't meet their standard, but we have to stick around for potential. I just feel like black American men victimize themselves so much because of the racism here. But black women, despite facing racism and sexism are still starting businesses and becoming more educated while being the primary caregivers for their families & communities. So what is the truth? Why all the excuses ?

Steve Harvey has been a pariah and preaching trash since forever, but this series is absolutely disgusting. It's 10pts of just gaslighting black women instead of just telling them.... Stop dating shitty men, period... you, like other women, may be alone forever because HVM are at a minimum.

I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why it's difficult to date in our race but yeah, this type of bs mindset would DEEFFFFFINITELY do it.

Ps. That author definitely gives me, 'on the DL' vibes... yet giving advice about women needing to, 'let men be men'.
