Facts! 👏 I hate the stereotype usually promoted by pickmeishas who act like being single is some sort of “lack.” Actually in many cases it represents that we rejected an abundance of options because they didn’t meet our standards.
I agree that just being in any relationship is not an accomplishment. While it’s nice to celebrate a happy relationship, many women are not in relationships with high value men. They are not any more desirable or accomplished than single women.
I also think society needs to focus on women’s actual accomplishments (e.g. amazing career, degrees like PhD or Master’s, published research, amazing home, car, financial abundance etc.) because sadly that often gets swept under the rug especially by Pickmeisha friends who only want to know whether you’re dating a dude. Meanwhile you could be on the NYTimes Bestselling List and their eyes would glaze over as they interrogate you about your relationship status. 🙄 Because to them that’s all that matters and it’s the only “trophy” they have in their lives, which is sad. But they’ll project onto successful women their own misery and act like being single is some sort of “lack” despite everything you have going for you. In reality, them dating an LVM is the true lack.

Relationship status has NOTHING to do with your desirability.
“A girl like me isn’t single for long.”🤢🤢🤢 or the pickme who says “This is the longest I have ever been single.” Because jumping from mediocre to mediocre relationship is a badge of honor?
I used to marvel at people who are serial monogamists- like I can’t even find 1 man for a relationship or marriage and you are into your second marriage. A majority of the time these are just people who cannot be alone.
I remember being very ashamed about the years I spent single in my 20s because women that are “catches” (beautiful, educated, etc…) supposedly get snatched up quickly. Many people would describe me as those things so I thought there must be something wrong with me that I wasn’t meeting desirable men to be caught by.
Now that I am 39 and there has been a big divorce wave- I see how many people just tolerate the other person.
Also, if you are too “picky” you might end up like me- single😱 but if I had stayed with any of my exes I would be divorced, forced to pay palimony or split my assets, etc…
I 💚 your suggestion that we need to assert single women as highly desirable, having integrity and strength to opt out of arrangements that do not serve us.

I never understood the appeal of dragging around a body just to say you “had someone.”
I mean I guess if you’re Jeffrey Dahmer but otherwise…

Lmfao honestly some of these people are insane
They will be in the most miserable toxic sexless loveless relationship and be talking about ‘my standards are too high’ ....when 5 minutes b4 they were complaining about their scrote and saying they wouldn’t wish their life on anybody. I just think....which one is it?
I mean how is it an achievement to get picked by a loser?

I've seen posts online saying that because serial killers have gotten married in prison, if you're single, it's because you're worse than a psychotic murderer.

After my last relationship just two years ago, I forced myself to have standards and boundaries. Now I can barely stand being around men and dating them. 99% of them want you to do all the work and all the chasing in the relationship. Any time I feel lonely I just scroll through relationship advice and dating advice to reaffirm that no relationship will always be better than a shit relationship.
One tiktok comment section really woke me up and it was a thread of women saying they had been in 7-10 year men relationships but were hesitant to end it. I realized how lucky I am because they wasted a majority of their twenties to some LVM who wouldn’t pee on them if they were on fire. Now I’m dedicating my twenties to myself because that thread was a nightmare.

Yeah they hate it when you reach that point because they can’t easily manipulate you and play on your empathy

I experienced the same after my last relationship ending. I can't stand the majority of them either. I would rather be single for life than with some LVM who's so not worth it, making me miserable. Not like being single is a bad thing.

Relationship status says nothing about your worth as a person. There are people who will settle for anyone and anything just to say they're not alone.
Also, I like to think of myself as a butterfly. Pretty and hard to catch.
