I actually know an older woman who wanted a pre-nup before marrying an older guy.

They were both well off, but she was more well off.

He technically made more than her but because he was planning to retire in a year or so, she would actually be the one that made more because she wanted to continue working.

She also had more assets because she was a widow.

The guy in this situation was divorced so all he had in assets were his smallish house.

The point is, the woman stands more to lose in this situation. Guess what? Everyone was on board for a pre-nup.

There was the slight pushback from the guy but he came to understand that those were her assets. He went through the divorce process and felt like the prenup was fair (he was also protecting his huge 401K and other assets).

Sure does seem like women are on board with a pre-nup when they stand to lose more than gain from divorce.

What a concept? People act in their own best interests.

He's not trying to hide assets, he's literally told her what he has in writing...... all he's saying is she only gets to benefit from these assets while she's married and committed to him. Why get married.I just let my ex live in my house rent free I got companionship and sex for a time.When she become unhappy mostly do to her own insecurities basically thinking I'm cheating with every girl I talk to she decided to have her own affair with a bum still living at home...

Do I gave her 30 days to move out she was very unhappy anyway and I think she wanted to go..

Hell to the no, even if you had an emotional connection to her and everything ends up working out it’s still not worth the risk. The mere fact she got upset about the prenup is a giant indicator to me that she was highly suggesting stealing half your assets, otherwise why is she so mad about it? “Why are you hiding them from me?” Because they aren’t yours. They aren’t married yet which is a god given blessing, but in some places they would be common law’d for cohabitating (assuming they lived together) which when then count as a marriage. Give her das boot, brake up with her, and never see her again. That’s what I would do

There is nothing about "love" that is strengthened or otherwise bolstered by "marriage". The only thing that really changes is that contract gives her the ability to become your financial liability. The pre-nup as you've explained is to protect your assets from your potential liability. Please don't get married. At least not to this woman.

Absolutely do not force this. Because later on her lawyer might say that she was coerced into this contract. So when she does sign it make sure it’s after her lawyer takes a look and it’s done in front of witnesses if you want the prenup to last.
