Hello everyone. I’m a high schooler and very interested in working in tech. Just to point out, I‘m about to graduate high school with really good grades and test scores and don’t want to become a software engineer for the money because the money isn‘t much when you account for the cost of living in Silicon Valley. The thing that concerns me, however, is working for big tech as MGTOW. I know most of us (if not all of us) are against big tech censorship. I also feel that the work environment in these companies would be very toxic towards us men, especially in SJW hell-holes like SF and NYC. To add onto that, I see a lot of tech companies promote affirmative action, which can hurt us men if we choose to work in this field in terms of getting an internship or a job. I’m also afraid that people who are MGTOW and post their views online would get blacklisted by these companies because we would supposedly not be a “culture-fit.” With all that aside, I really want to work in tech as pathway to different sources of income, such as a startup (cliche I know), courses, apps, etc. so that I can become financially independent (another core principle of MGTOW). What’s your advice? Should I just shut up and take the money?
