Women are driven by emotion, not logic. It's a fundamental difference between men and women. So approaching divorce like she's a man will get you nowhere.

Fair is 50% of parenting time and finances. That's where you start and end. If she isn't willing to go half, then tell her you'll see her in court.

When you're ready to pull the trigger, then just do it. There's only downsides tipping your hand before she is served.

You've given very little info. What state? Kids involved? House? Many assets? Does she work? Infidelity on either side? I know this last one doesn't matter in most states courts, but it certainly will affect your approach and offer. Does she have any idea your head is where it's at? But I agree with dday--your approach is perfect for a male to male transaction. Not so much for husband and stbxw.

You're leaving for another woman, you have kids, and she has no income. My tip is to leave your current relationship with your wife and finalize the divorce before starting a new relationship. The courts will not be kind to you.

Play it safe make sure she’s winning because realistically you can’t . Don’t hit don’t hurt be kind and let go. It may take longer then you think

I think the most important tip is not to blame her or yourself for that result. Only explain that marriage is not working for both of you. Don't convert it to a discussion.

Depends on whether you have cheated on her or not. You should definitely divorce and ultimately you should offer her what she is legally entitled to. Whether she accepts your offer or not is beyond your control but fighting it out in court will cost a lot more to you both.

I swear I’m right with you and I got caught in the hotel with a woman and arrested that same night. I don’t have a plan and I’m scared to say the least , I need help and it’s a lot of us men who need help with the next steps
