Her reason for the divorce: She felt pressured by her parents to get married. She says she still loves me, though.

I don’t understand it. Even if she might have had questionable reasons for marrying, why can’t we stay together if we still love each other?

For reasons I won’t elaborate on here, we decided to remain friends despite no legal obligation (we don’t have kids). She doesn’t want to be with me, yet when I mention other women who are interested in me, she says it hurts. I tell her she can’t have it both ways, but the response is basically, “I don’t want to be with you, but I don’t like the idea of you having anyone else.”

She explicitly told me I didn’t do anything wrong in the marriage. She’s jealous of other women. She loves me. But she doesn’t want to be with me because... something about her parents, I guess?

I tried to get a clearer answer the last time I talked to her, but that was it. I’m not begging for her to come back or anything—we just talk every now and then to remain in touch. I’m just perplexed by the entire thing despite the divorce being behind us.
