I think I've found a place to live that's near where my daughter goes to school and is within my estimated budget. I just don't know where to begin. I'm an authorized user on 16k worth of credit card debt that worries me. I told her at the start I hated CCs, another thing she ignored. Should I sit her down, have the talk and go the next day to get a lease? I'm in oklahoma and from what I've found it's generally a 50/50 custody state now. I know that I want to try mediation before lawyers and I hope it'll be easier.

How did you guys who left do it? What steps did you take to protect yourself and your kids? I keep getting frozen up on the little details like having to get new furniture on credit or how to pay for the apartment, switching bank accounts. It seems like so much stuff to do and I just don't know where to begin.
