Funny story. I was leaving a Depeche Mode (probably spelled it wrong) concert around 1987 or 88. Saw three drunk girls raging out at this guy and his boyfriend. Dude was pretry decent sized. One girl got in his face and was yelling shit like "what you going to do hit me?" She hauled off and slapped him. Ol boy palmed her face and just slammed her into the ground. First time I saw someone knocked out. Not a single person did shit. Just went to the car amd went home. Was a school night.

I remember when I was 14 and friend of mine who was a bit tom boyish, was surprised to hear me say (in conversation with another friend) that if a girl was hitting me I would hit them back.

She then thought she’d test me and started slapping me in the face, I said ‘you want to get hit back’ she doubled down and was fully trying to hit me after that, I blocked one of her slaps and hit here square across the face hard.

She didn’t do it again after that.

Once in high school i was just chilling, at this time i was a bitch, this girl out of nowhere comes at me and grabs my throat yelling "you wanna talk shit!? Ill stab you cunt!" Etc etc, queue me at 15 didnt know what tf was going on, she's full hitting Me with right hooks, theyre bouncing off because i had an iron jaw at the time, literally while being hit im like "hey guys, tf is happening". I ended up after abour 10 seconds of being belted, pushing her off, nothing was dome while i was being bashed but when i used an open palm to shove her off me i had aboit 3 or 4 senior students on me choke holding me and uppercutting my ribs, then i got suspended for hitting a girl, found out later she got a description of someone and confused me for someone else, doesnt matter i had to attend a few weeks of behaviour adjustment for assaulting a girl, i didnt care but in hindsight its clearly sexist and unfair, to this day i dont care it happened, i wasnt hurt, but i could have been.

On a related note, my brother got glassed by a girl at the pub and while he spat blood and pulled glass shards from his face we got swarmed by men and thrown out then the off duty police officer who had been drinking jumped in his ute and tailed us all the way home, then we got banned and on our walk home we had some chubby fuckwit follow us and challenge us to a fight because we fought a "lady", closest i came to commiting a crime that night, im a non violent person but i remember the heat from my heartbeat pumping a cloud of raw animal nature to my head and a pressure of flame gripping my skull, whenever i spoke to the guy who followed us i felt like my teeth where spikes of bone and my body was expendable, that entire night we were hunted for something we didnt do.

Come today, that was never resolved, but its over so we dont bother.

When I was in 2nd grade, SECOND GRADE, I defended myself against a bully who hated me because I was “poor”. Little asshole goes and pays a 6th grade girl, who was easily twice my size, to beat me up at recess. She said something about “Stay away from Lee!” And then slapped me in the face, after which I proceeded to knock out her two upper fronts. The look on her face was priceless.
