. Worked as a front desk, an old creepy man asked me to try on a coat of the souvenir shop inside our hotel because he told me that his mother has the same body type as mine, I thought I was being helpful but the moment he demanded me to take off my vest, it’s just the feeling of disgust overwhelmed me and I had to walk away and feeling bad about myself at the same time.
. Got asked out by the CEO, I thought he wanted to discuss work with me only but instead told me to leave my evening free for him as if my time is not important. He has a daughter the same age as me.
. Got belittled by my boss as not knowing anything and too outspoken about my rights about being a female worker.
. Got sexually harassed at work but couldn’t speak up because of retaliation of those cunning creepy old men.

This sort of post is so bizarre. Everything she listed was men asking her to do things. Not demanding, not being entitled.
On the other hand, I constantly see women talking about how they are entitled to more help from the government, less taxes etc.
This is so bizarre. It's as though people like this live in an alternate dimension.
[–]apeironman 38 points39 points40 points (4 children) | Copy Link
How is any of this entitlement?
Uh, say no? Does she feel the entitlement is in asking or demanding in the first place? If so, EVERYONE has that "entitlement". Plenty of women have asked or demanded things of me and I didn't consider it entitlement, I considered it appropriate or rude depending on the situation.
This might come the closest to entitlement? Management shouldn't ask out subordinates without making it clear that a "no" is acceptable and this example really skirts the boundaries. Telling her to leave her evenings free is just weird, but she still has the ability to say no or tell him that she is not free.
It's poor management style to belittle your employees about their work-related abilities, especially as it's the bosses' job to make sure that they know what to do. Still no entitlement, though, and I've seen women do the same thing.
Rights as a female worker? What is she even talking about? Is that different than rights as a worker in general, or what?
Not enough information here, but if she truly faced sexual harassment she can make a claim with the NLRB. As far as retaliation goes, there's only one way to find out if it will happen and that's to make the claim. As she hasn't, the accusation of retaliation is a red herring.

Great catch. I didn't even notice that.
[–]apeironman 8 points9 points10 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Thanks.
About the only entitlement I see is coming from this woman. Her asking about rights as a woman employee certainly smacks of asking for special treatment.
Also, her use of the word "creepy" to describe men (or old men) is just odd. What's creepy about a guy asking you to try on a jacket as you are the same size as the person he wants to buy it for? Would she say Chris Hemsworth was "creepy" if he did the same? Or would it be okay for him to ask as he's younger and attractive? (And a successful actor, to boot). If it's wrong for the former and okay for the latter than there is definitely some level of entitlement this woman is trying to impose.
[–]IronJohnMRA 2 points3 points4 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I understand. Feminists have been pushing the expansion of terms for decades now as I'm sure you know. It seems like this might another attempt to stretch the terms, "creepy" and "entitlement" to absurd limits. Eventually, they want every male person in these categories.
[–]thetruemask 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yea I don't even see how half of these are male privilege they aren't..what a moron.
The "old creepy coat" guy wasn't a guy using male privilege. But a bossy customer or a rude guy. Nothing about that is privileged. Do she think men think they have a privilege that makes random women try on clothing?? No such thing. She could have simply refused. No one would have cared.
Again not male privilege. Do men have a right to date women who are subordinate to them at work? Of course not. If it was workplace abuse report it.
If anything this is a person abusing their power over their workers. The gender does not matter..this same guy would use his power as a CEO to screw with male workers or anyone.
Men aren't entitled to CEO jobs or as CEOs entitled to abuse women.
Not a gender issue bosses belittle their workers regardless of gender. if anything women would see the fraction of rudeness from a boss a male worker would see.
I don't know if this is just a lie or not there is no reason to not report it. Everyone would side with a woman reporting. What possible retaliation could there be?
Report it. Again no entitlement here. Men are not "privileged" to harass women at work. Not at all..
I don't know how this post was even made a post about "entitlement" that has 0 entitlement

There's is no excuse in 2021 to not report sexual harassment or aggression. Most workplace let their employees file an anonymous complaint and even then, you can just find a new job, it is false to think that most workplaces will have a creepy harassing manager, they have better things to do than creep on women.
Thinking that no men should ever talk to you except when you want to, that is textbook definition of entitlement, welcome to society, a place where you have to talk to people even when you don't want to.
You're a grownup, act like it, use words to communicate, 99% of men don't want to be harassing but most men have a mentality of thinking that something will be said if they do something wrong. You can complain about that mentality all you want but in a society, literally everything functions that way, you'll get a notice, a ticket, a meeting, a serious conversations. So again, women are smart enough to know how to talk.
By encouraging women to feel uncomfortable around men, you encourage the alienation of women, if a man knows he makes someone uncomfortable he will most likely stay away, but having your manager not being willing to talk to you is not really good to your career is it ? No wonder women have troubles climbing the ladder.
Women deserve the same possibilities as men, and free healthcare, and free hygiene products, and maternity leaves, and pension when they get a divorce, and paid dates, and a man that will provide for them. What does men deserve in our society ? There's no social discourse about it because one of those two parties is not drowning on its own entitlement.

Well isn't she popular and desirable? Paranoid narcissism and attributing innocent motivations to others are mutually exclusive.
[–]JesseCuster40 9 points10 points11 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes. 3 examples. 3 things that happened to her in her life. I'm sure many men could also echo her stories, with a gender swap.
Some people are just assholes.
[–]IronJohnMRA 16 points17 points18 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Assuming any of this is actually true, it seems like she is mostly bragging about how much other people want her. Hardly seems like any kind of entitlement at all.
[–]miketrance 14 points15 points16 points (19 children) | Copy Link
Lolz because no women are ever entitled.

Ah yes, women entitled to sexual harassment isn't it. Learn to read
[–]miketrance 19 points20 points21 points (13 children) | Copy Link
What? You fucking idiot, it’s as if women never act entitled themselves moron. You act like women have the market cornered on sexual harassment. They don’t.
[–][deleted] -27 points-26 points-25 points (12 children) | Copy Link
Oh no no they don't. Men get sexually harassed too! But y'all insert that exclusively into discussions of ladies' sexual harassment and that's weird af. Lmao inbreds
[–]miketrance 15 points16 points17 points (11 children) | Copy Link
No I insert it into a discussion because people like you act that this is a problem exclusively to women. It isn’t get over yourself
[–][deleted] -24 points-23 points-22 points (10 children) | Copy Link
Ahwwww learn to read just cuz it happens a lot to women doesn't mean it doesn't happen to men. Don't suck your own dick in public, get a room and a life

You for one, because you’re jumping on here acting like this post was justified when it’s written in a way that makes it sound like women are the only victims of this kind of harassment. Then you double down when I point out different

Also “go suck your own dick in public”. Did I ask you to make comments about my penis? What made you think it would be okay to make sexually suggestive comments towards me? The irony is not lost on me that on a thread where I bring up that women don’t have the market cornered on being sexually harassed a woman comes on and sexually harasses me.
If you don’t want random men making comments about your vagina, why the fuck do you think it’s okay to make comments about my penis. That is the exact sort of harassment you’re complaining about right? Why is it okay for you to do it?
[+][deleted] -8 points-7 points-6 points (3 children) | Copy Link
Lmao finally someone figured out empathy
[–]miketrance 9 points10 points11 points (2 children) | Copy Link
So you sexually harassed me for empathy? I don’t think you know what that word means. If sexual harassment is wrong why is it your go to argument? Seems like either you don’t really care about sexual harassment or you just want to have the market cornered on being abusive.

Lmao what no read again
[–]DanteLivra 3 points4 points5 points (3 children) | Copy Link
I have no sympathy for people who complains about harassment without reporting it, espiecially women since they basically have a social monopoly on harassment.
It is entitled to think that people should just read your mind and know instinctively when you don't want to be spoken to.

A lot of men get harassed and don't report it. go shit on them please.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link

Is there any sub related to female issues and experiences where they don't perpetuate hate against men? I would expect a feminisr sub to be like that but 2x's name implies that it is focussed on women not manhating but reality is dissappointing lol.
Like so far I found r/AskWomen to be okay and the women there aren't bigoted

It’s almost as if life doesn’t exist specifically for you ... that’s what so many young women discover. It’s not always easy and not everyone is there to help you through life. It’s easier to recognize this as a man because it’s rare that other people want to help you, especially when problems arise. It’s rare for a young woman not to receive help because everyone (other women, male feminists, etc.) are there to encourage and help.
