Government is wasting money. That will encourage more spouses to kill their husband if it ensures lifetime pension for few years in prison.

[–]Brojustwhy 89 points90 points91 points 5 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, more homicides incoming

[–]BlackBoxInquiry 33 points34 points35 points 5 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Self-defense incoming.

Equality.

Someone violently attacks you - they are your equal and can be and should be dealt with in any manner you see fit.

Had a buddy of mine get MURDERED.

She claimed to be “afraid for her life” and shot him in the back of the head while he was sleeping, IN FRONT of their daughter.

So yeah fellas, take the threat seriously.

Need to stand up for ourselves. We are people with emotions, feelings, likes, dislikes as well as rights - regardless of what these mentally ill and morally challenged “women” say.

Kindness for kindness. Love for love. Respect foe respect. Wrecked for wrecked.

Was she just batshit crazy? That’s so fucked up and cowardly to shoot him in his sleep like that. Also did she get punished at all?

[–]scyth3s 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I'm not buying that story without an accompanying article. People lie on here all the time.

[–]TalosSquancher 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

LMFAO "Yea this guy's full of shit until a publication tells me otherwise, because we all know publications don't lie or omit."

Behold. The lie:

She was never convicted.

I wish I’d saved the link to that one. Really pour the lie of my dead friend on you.

[–]scyth3s -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

They do, but I'm sure at least one would have the basic details about "shot in back of head while sleeping, not guilty by self defense," etc. Yeah, I'm not buying his story.

That just says a woman is suspected in her husband's shooting at a hotel, it doesn't give any details to corroborate your story despite being from two years ago (so the details should probably be out by now). No mention of daughter, no mention of "while asleep," etc. Where did you get those details? And what makes you think they're credible?

[–]BlackBoxInquiry 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

From the what was relayed to me by family on both sides from the investigators.

If I can find more articles (so far not), I’ll be more than happy to supply them.

For the mean time, my friend is dead and no amount of criticism or doubt from others changes the facts around his death.

Was their trouble? Yes. But why not go to the cops while he was sleeping after the argument? It’s what a man would be expected to do, not shoot his ex-spouse in the back of the head while sleeping.

For now, you’ll just have to doubt. If I can find more links, where details were given, I will.

No. Never convicted. Only arrested. Later was ruled self defense.

You cannot kill in self defense unless necessary. You should deal enough dmg that the attacker is incapable, killing is not justified in India (according to law).

[–]janearcade 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do you think more men will also commit homicide, if their wife is the breadwinner and they want that pension?

[–]empatheticapathetic 79 points80 points81 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Standard India tbh

[–]getmesumscotch 50 points51 points52 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I’ve got some insight on India.

Women have a lot of power there, maybe not personally but over the government

I remember my uncle talking about how women said that their hair made it uncomfortable to have a helmet on a motor bike and the government just said “say no more” and put it to rest immediately

[–]yaartherapehla 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is not official, police officers just ignore women on M/c

[–]mooch_g_force 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So woman dont have to wear helmets but men do? Thats gonna cause more female deaths. I guess good riddance

[–][deleted] 36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Wdym ‘good riddance’? The thing I’ve been liking about this sub is most people don’t apply the double standard that a lot of feminists do. They try to actually be equal as opposed to the illusion of it. Saying ‘good riddance’ to the thought of women dying cuz they’re women, isn’t right.

[–]mooch_g_force 33 points34 points35 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

if they feel like they dont have to wear helmets because they are woman then good riddance. woman who do wear the helmet stay alive therefore not good riddance

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That makes sense

[–]MBV-09-C 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't see it as a 'good riddance' to women, it's just that if you're dumb enough to gamble your life on something easily preventable and lose, you deserve it. The only part gender plays there is just that it's one sub-set of that gender being dumb here.

[–]Werwet10 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Plus...there are helmets which women can wear.. And even the normal helmets can be easily worn by women...just that it will be tough with particular hairstyles...my mom wears her helmet everytime she goes out in main roads.. These days even guys don't wear helmets cus it spoils their hairstyle apparently...maybe the girls have the same reason too...they can't have fancy hairstyles if they have to wear a helmet. So the only difference is that boys get fined and the girls don't.

[–]Gumgumf 46 points47 points48 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Time to move out

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Soooooo providing an incentive for murder is apparently progressive.

[–]Xerontitan90 48 points49 points50 points 5 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

WTF?

Why Indian Judiciary is so biased against Men?

[–]PyramidBreaker 60 points61 points62 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In Rajasthan, termed the most dangerous state for women about 40% rape cases filed on men turned out to be false on further investigation. Here in India even if you have sexual relations with a Girl that's above the age of consent, you'll most certainly get sued by her parents when they find out about it, even though it was consesnual. A large majority of rape cases in India are like these, two young adults or teenagers but the girls parents couldn't just accept that their daughter would consent.

[–]p3ngwin 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why Indian Judiciary is so biased towards against Men?

FTFY :)

[–]Ador777 33 points34 points35 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]Kryto-Kun 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]Ador777 -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In India ur either Far up ur ass left or far no where to be seen right, theres no in between or moderate. I mean most men there do deserve this shit, u think Arab countries treat woman bad? Shit its horrifying for women in India. I mean what kinda man rapes a woman with an Iron rod? How sick can u get?

At least everyone is oppressed?

[–]DubiousLocust -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I am from India and can confirm this is bullshit. I am from a highly conservative Brahmin family in North India, and women are highly respected among hindu households, we have lower per capita rape statistics than many of the 1st world countries. https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Rape-rate

And don't even try bringing caste system into all of this. Would you like your daughter to run away with an uneducated goon right before the day of her marriage? We've seen it happen times and times again, lust and selfishness is responsible for them to take such actions, leaving their parents heartbroken, heat only lasts for a week or two and then they would realise instead of being privileged daughters of a wealthy household, suddenly they have to work hard to survive till the end of their youths.

This is the current situation of our country, it's not even about higher castes, Vaishyas are not even a higher caste but still are wealthy traders who often face similar issues with their daughters wasting time with goons on streets instead of studying with their hard earned money, something like this once happened in our immidiate neighborhood where the daughter of a good friend of my grandfather used to do exactly that, in the beginning there were only suspicions with her scoring poor grades, and not even a day has passed and she is married to an illiterate asshole that she picked from the streets, the face of disappointment on her father's eyes would forever be imprinted within my mind.

Don't try passing judgement on topics you know little about.

[–]arno911[S] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Mind telling me the city?

I've seen women oppressed. They just waiting to be married since they are not allowed to go away from home and there aren't place which offer courses they want to. At least 5 girl i can name from my graduation batch.

My sis got a job and they say she's lucky to be born in my family.

I always thought people were progressive but the stories of these girls hit me like a truck, sinking my heart like a stone.

[–]horonlapsi 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So the plan is to marry a rich guy and kill him boom free money

[–]arno911[S] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, kill the guy who got a high paying govt job since they only pay pension on death of the said guy. Boom free money!!

[–]Deadlocked02 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

What I’ll always have trouble assimilating is why men create so many ways to harm other men. I mean, in a country like India, I suppose most lawmakers are men, right? Even so, they seem to not give a fuck about the well-being of other men. And what makes them think that their sons or them won’t be the victims of their own creation? Unbelievable.

[+]arno911[S] -21 points-20 points-19 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

the thing is women were too oppressed (still oppressed in most of the country) so some rules are there for their upliftment at the cost of men. if that isn't there it won't help much it is a bit of unjustifiable but yea it is needed for some time at least.

[–]Deadlocked02 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

it is a bit of unjustifiable but yea it is needed for some time at least.

Spoiler: they’re going to keep them indefinitely.

[–]punkertroll 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes woman were oppressed for long but laws like this still can't be Justified , woman oppressed other woman much more than men did, present generations don't deserve to be treated like 2nd class citizens because what happened in past, both oppressors and oppressed of past are old or died.role roles of leader was for men but also woman were always respect more too in indic religions at least.

[–]matrixislife 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does the converse apply, would a man who murders his wife be eligible for her pension?

[–]GTAXVII 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

sure people love spiders or mantis

[–]candidly1 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, good. Now we're REALLY fucked...

[–]ienisa 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These stories make me hate my penis!

[–]RedditTogetherStrong 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If it’s equal rights then equal fights and that bitch should be in prison for a long time. I mean what’s gonna stop her from marrying then killing another spouse if she knows she’ll get a way with it you know?

[–]Vinniikii 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Natural endpoint of capitalist FDS. Best possible status is to be fully supported by external pension without even needing to perform domestic labor. Court giving unofficial sanction to patriarch murder be careful.

[–]TAPriceCTR 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not surprised. If I were to retire from federal service, my ex wife (6 years together) would be entitled to a portion of my pension despite having been nothing but a burden our entire marriage.

[–]ron_m_joe 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The only question is: will a man be given the same treatment? Cause if so, this isn't an MRA issue but an issue with justice.
