It’s hard to document when a girl writes a paper she gets an A+ but when a boy writes a similar paper it’s a B-. There have been studies that have proven when names are redacted boys are graded higher and when names are visible girls get better grades, proving bias against boys.

You're going to get a metric ton of false accusations if you do this. If you tell people to look for sexism, they will find it everywhere. That's how feminism is still a relevant movement even though every real issue the movement was for has been achieved.

Most schools have a no phones policy.

And most kids don't have a dedicated voice recorder

My teacher in art was pretty sexist I guess you could say she was even a little racist. It was a pretty boring class and the only time we had fun is when we were working on projects. Since we were allowed to listen to music you’d think this doesn’t sound too bad, but the teacher was pure evil not only did she yell at us for not working fast enough (and since when do you rush art) but she would only pick on the boys especially minorities. My friend who we’ll call kellen was black so you probably know where this is leading. We were making clay pots and he wanted to make a shark (I made an emo Shrek) so he was listening to an episode of anime instead of music which she didn’t like that so she took his phone. So then he needed a reference of a shark he asked if he could use my phone I said sure and she also didn’t like that (we were supposed to come up with our own thing and not copy [side note she was okay with my emo shrek though]) so she came to take my phone and he went low level ape shit on her, telling her that he is doing a shark and it’s no big deal he just needs a reference of course she didn’t care and she snatched my phone and there were other kids using references especially girls and she didn’t say anything to them saying good job or it looks great. From that point on I realized her sexism and still hate her to this day. I could say many more things she did to the boys, but I’m on my phone and don’t want to type anymore lol.

There's an app I have installed on my Android phone called "record the past" which lets you record sounds after they've happened. Maybe that would be able to help better than pulling out their phone and getting into trouble.

In the 6th grade here in Canada our teachers were having a strike ( I wanna say 08 but it might have been 06)

And as a result the teachers union cancelled field trips during the strike.

I could give less of a fuck that we couldn't go to the Peterborough canoe museum... But what I objected to was our teacher saying "we could still do the field trip by the end of the year if our parents called in and complained to the school board"

Here we are 10+ years later and she has a "no cuts to education" banner on her Facebook, (which I commented " no cunts to education)

I'd love to see girls shown doing this. I literally watched 2nd graders telling boys they were kissing certain girls and more. Second grade. None of the boys were making comments. Just the girls.

At my school it's against the rules to record teachers or students. It's probably like that at most schools.

i feel like some kind of online survey would be really good in this case to get the real numbers and it should be advertised to womens forms as well to see if they have exsperience sexisum in school that we just have not noticed.

This would more just cause the teachers to fear to say anything. Because then bad students would use tons of stuff out of context and it would create a bad dynamic.

I don't think you realize how much the school districts are in on this. They KNOW sexism is happening - they aid and abet it.

To whom would you complain? The superintendent of schools? Guess again. The school board? Maybe a member or two would side with you. Then it would be three people against the system.

This is a good idea, but we are not talking about fighting a winning battle- you are suggesting getting children involved in shoveling buckets of water into an oncoming tide.

The days to fight this was 10-15 years ago.

America died on 9/11/01, and we just watched a large group of people shovel the last dirt on it's grave. You are thinking the old way. Those days are gone.

What's the point in reporting sexism when the definition constantly changes. Combating toxic masculinity isn't sexism if you weren't aware yet
