Same happened here in canada with the women's Olympic hockey team. Played a tier 2 midget boys team for fun and lost like 14-2.

This seems to happen rather a lot. I remember the Dallas FC U15's beating the US Women's team just after they won the Women's World Cup.

It's an embarrassment they think they are worth the same as the men, just because they play the same game. It's an entirely different economic situation.

I've even seen games with two female and a single male pundit. Now I've never much cared that the host has much football experience, that's not the point but why do I care what the opinions of someone who would be bested but basically every male Sunday League team in the country?

Let's not forget those boys teams, even on professional teams, would get toasted by basically nearly every male adult team going.

It's almost like being stronger, taller and faster has an effect on the game.

End of the day if the women's game was worth watching, people would watch it, and it would be as big as the men's game

But they aren't, so people don't, so it's not.

It doesn’t even need to come down to a question or comparison of talent. Quite simply an analysis of financials can be used to justify these decisions. If the games and seasons can generate enough revenue to justify higher salaries then I’m all for a fair and increased wage. However, I am sure that these teams do not gain the notoriety and income of their male counterparts.

IMO if they want better pay focus on marketing to gain a bigger fan base that can justify increased salaries.

That's not of her and her team being women and the 16 year olds being men, that's a fuck up right there. These women are supposed to be fit, active, and crack commando veterans of the game but they seemed to almost drag their feet in the game... They don't seem to train as much as male teams do if they lost unceremoniously 6-0 to a bunch of rookies.
