The idea of circumcision hinges on the belief that the only animal to have evolved that requires immediate amputative surgery (on it's genitalia, no less) is the human male.

It shows that the main motivation for circumcision was religion affiliation (starting in Judaism?), not health. Otherwise all these people that love their pets as family, would circumcise them as well.

isn't it better for future health and hygiene? like it decreases chances for urinary tract infections, STI's, penile cancer (although thats pretty rare) and general infections right? (im not trying to hate or anything, just curious on yall's opinion on that kind of stuff)

Not defenfing circumcising babies, but I just think it has something to do that human bodies are just different. Still, as somebody who is circumcised, I advocate for letting the children decide when they are mature.
