Do women get special treatment in the military?

I served in the Army from 97-03 and I've seen firsthand that the hey definitely do, especially in terms of physical fitness. The only possible exception is the Marine Corps. Every other branch makes so much accomodation for females that they literally aren't fit to be serving. I guess the new Army PT test does away with different standards for females, but it's already being protested by chicken-shit politicians and bureaucrat for being "unfair."

They aren't sent to dangerous missions here. They do office jobs basically.

GOD yes, ill never forget having a platoon attached to us right before we deployed to afghan and they had females. Two of them were sent out to with the unit at shukvani (a FOB forward operations base, think like a small forward outpost to operate out of) We all had big communal tents with barely any room between you and every other guy while they had a huge air conditioned pod. We all had to be up early and moving, they got up 4 hours after that. They had a set number of tasks everyday, we had to constantly be working or going on operations till suns out.

The level of special treatment women get in the rear is crazy but it doesn't stop there. I can give more stories too if anyone wants them

I served in the USN from 94-98. Just in the fact that the physical readiness test is WAY different for men vs women is there, there were also limits on what women could do onboard the ship in terms of jobs.

The one special treatment they would receive would be due to a pregnancy. I don't know how many times a woman would get pregnant just before a cruise and then be assigned a shore billet, taking a billet away from a male. After I separated, a friend I served with had his shore billets cut short three times due to this.

They shouldn't but a very small number have managed to push their 'special needs' to getting special treatment.
The standards are the same minus the PT test b/c women and men are different in many ways.
For a Medic in AIT (where we learn to be Medics) the standards are the same. The Army sees one color and we are soldiers who happen to be male and female. Officers are "Sir" and "Ma'am" and of course visual differences but personal merit means more than "I'm a woman. I was born with a vigina. I'm special."
I have no doubt that 'some wahmens' weasel their way out of harder work and have heard of some who slept with male superiors.

US Army 82nd Airborne division definitely does. They have lower physical standards and are given all of the easy work.

The officers are trying to make news headlines and the nco's are trying to get laid, so nobody complains...
