BP friends will always be around, especially since the obvious and apparent push from the feminist agenda. How I learned to deal with my BP friends is exactly how I was treated by my, unknowingly at the time, RP friends + family.

When I was younger, I never understood or could really explain, how I felt like "I was losing". I knew it wasn't a race, but I could feel it. The way other women interacted with me, the way conversations went, how they carried themselves, etc. I was out of place. Now that I am where they are, I don't see the women or their actions as a threat. They don't view you as less of a woman, they are just praised more frequently by the men.

I remember between the ages of 14-19, I was always hanging around with the guys, drinking beer, whatever. The usual. My friends/family friends would have had their hair fixed, nails done, food ready, etc. All while I just sat there and drank beer trying to communicate with the guys. Well, the thing is, it didn't matter how many bows I didn't put in my hair or how many beers I drank, I was still a woman.

Researchers found differences in the way male and female brains process voice sounds. The results of this study demonstrate that, in the male brain, the perception of male and female voices activates different brain regions.
Study has shown for the first time that the brains of men and women are wired up differently which could explain some of the stereotypical differences in male and female behavior.

Just be yourself. Be your normal, happy, feminine and friendly self. Cook for your friends and their men, be a sweet hostess, and just enjoy life. Unknowingly, they will notice that manly men appreciate these feminine actions. :) If the "friend" in question is just too much, you may need to locate new friends. Birds of a feather flock together. TRP is not something that needs to be talked about, but observed. People will pick up. :)

I cut the more toxic of them, and some I treat more as acquaintances than friends. I've made new friends that are more like I am now. It wasn't a conscious decision, I just gravitated towards some people and away from others.

I hang out with them, but I don't discuss much of our relationship. Not that there's really anything to report anyways, beyond the usual! I don't think anything has changed post red pill. I was always fairly private about my relationships, and I've never been a bar/going out person. We still do what we did before- go to the pool, make dinner, go out for lunch. In fact, our friendships might even be better because I can drop some knowledge and they generally agree, or say it makes sense. Hopefully some of it sticks!

I've had similar friends, I've don't really talk about the details of my relationship or RPW with them, because 1) I feel like they would also try to stage some sort of "intervention", and 2) its really none of their business. My former best friend is very BP and could be very vocal about her disdain for some aspects of my relationship. My boyfriend doesn't like her and could see her BP and hamster tendencies and while I understood and respected his reasoning I had a hard time seeing this in her because we used to be so close and went through a lot together. We are not close anymore, some other things have happened that have made me reconsider our friendship and I have distanced myself. It was difficult, but for the best, I should have listened to my man and trusted his instincts sooner, would have saved me some hurt.

I still hang out with my BP friends, but I try to avoid outright bringing up RP ideas. Rather, I just model it and talk about other things with the girls (typical girl conversations) or do things that keep it from coming up. When it does, I say little and try not to immediately nuke their commentary. Instead, I just stay quiet. Helps a lot.

I find that in most cases, they're good friends. We just don't line up in relationship and gender ideals.

the thing is, is that you dont really have an "rp" relationship, you are a plate being spun by a guy whos not committing to you. your friends may not be "BP", they just see the writing on the wall. do not be shocked and surprised when you break up when you are 31 and he turns around and marries a 23 year old without being "poly" anymore

It's also tricky being around them because I'll find myself reverting to my old BP self in their presence. My man says I act different around them and usually at his expense. This has lead to some fights or arguments that only seem to happen when my friends are in town visiting, and of course this just makes my friends think even more poorly about our relationship. I guess it's up to me to confidently uphold our relationship, the better I know myself (and my shit tests) the better I can stand up for myself and my relationship.

I see this happening to myself as well. I have also noticed that I too am somewhat bossy but really enjoy having someone who is in control in a relationship who isn't me. I do, however, still keep in touch with these "bp" friends. I have a friendship with them and they do not control my life. I would never look to them for advice on relationships but it doesn't mean I can't still have fun with them. If they drift away it would be because it was they're doing, not mine. I'd like to think that I can have as many close friends as possible, but in the end, you only end up with 1 or two close girl friends and the rest are just aquaintences (and there is nothing wrong with that).

NYC women are basically poster children for every BP example on this site. I've never encountered a more closed-minded, entitled, self-righteous and emasculating group of women my whole life. It's a beta city run by women; I feel your pain OP.

Met a friend out at the bar the other night, she comes with her two friends. We have a great time, I'm taking off around 5AM and heading back to where I'm staying for the weekend. Give them cab fare and tell them not to take the train. Alpha of the group starts giving me shit saying they're gonna do what they want and they don't need a man's protection. Fuck that shit, I took my money back and walked out.

I feel exactly the same way, except I am much older and didn't come to the RP life until recently. I sometimes get very bored with the conversations I have with some of my friends. There are some who are in a RP relationship and don't know it, but a lot of them have no clue of the concept and I feel bad for their boyfriends or husbands. I was happy to read this and find I am not the only one who feels this way.

You will find that regardless of the pill you swallow, your friendships change drastically in your twenties as you transition from girl to woman. You may always have one or two lifelong friends from childhood or college, but different friends will serve you differently as you navigate the various stages of life. Adulthood isn't like your school years where you can pal around in a clique. You may have "neighborhood" friends and "work friends", then "church" friends and "parent" friends, and these categories will continue to shift throughout your life. It's also not unusual to feel sad about it as it happens, but I think you will find that many of your best friends are those who you haven't met yet.

So... you like having a bossy guy because he can be bossier than you...? It sounds like your friends are of the "Why don't we all just be good to each other?" variety... and this is likely an issue to them.

There's nothing wrong with being dominant or submissive, but you'll find that most people (RP, BP or unaffiliated) frown on taking it to the level of sexism... because sexism agitates all kinds of people.
