The amount of people I see saying “kill all men” on social media is very worrying. Yes, it is a joke most of the time, but it is the most annoying, overused, unfunny joke I can think of. It almost always comes from women that claim to be for equality but they completely disregard men’s issues. The fact that so many women use the phrase proves how normalised this type of language is, then when they get called out in it they reply with “men did the same to us”. Yes, but that doesn’t mean you can be just as bad, try and at least be nice instead of being just as rude, and on top of that call men fragile for not being able to take a joke. We know it’s a joke, it’s just not funny.
Apologies for the poor formatting, I just wanted to get it off my chest.

The thing about that is, it's not even a fair comparison. Who even makes dishwasher jokes? And if they do, does it get 500k likes on twitter? No, they get criticized for it, unless they are in some obscure forum that is full of like-minded users. If that ever spilled out into mainstream consciousness, people do not take that well. So it's only natural the men get upset at not only the "kill all men" joke, but the rather forgiving response to it.

So if I express concern at a misandric joke, it's my fault and I have no justification for being upset? How does the fact that men run the world have any bearing on my life? Men running the world does not mean men run the world FOR the well being of men. You're using the apex fallacy, where you are focused on who's on top rather than who's at the bottom, and using the 1% as justification for misandry towards the 99%.

I am forced to serve in the military when I'm 18, and if I refuse, I get sent to jail. I don't need to make up oppression. Easy for you to tell what others should feel when you're not the one experiencing it.

I'm definitely not advocating for women like you who don't give a shit about men. And you wonder why men hate feminism. It's such circular religious thinking. The world isn't divided into oppressed and oppressors. It's my damn choice what I choose to support or don't. You don't get to lecture me about your view of the world. After all, you're a white woman so I suggest you check your white privilege when you're talking to a brown man.
