I feel terrible when this happens. We've been together almost four years and he still hasn't picked up on my taste.

I know, I know. I'm super grateful he was thoughtful and whatnot but he gave me a bracelet I know I won't wear. I have quite a bunch and I never do.

This is the first gift I got from hom with a receipt. Should I trade it? Bring him to the store?

Which one is worse? Keeping it knowing I won't wear it and feel guilty every time I think about it? (like most other presents of his) or trading it?

EDIT: For people wanting an update. I asked him if he'd like to back to the store with me, since I knew he shopped in a hurry and see if there was something else he'd rather see me in. I told him I liked it but he agreed with me it would be best to go back to the shop, see everything calmly and look for something we both think I'd wear more often.

He said he appreciated my honesty since he knew I wasn't much into bracelets and we'll be going soon and make a date of it (have dinner and some long walks he likes) so it isn't just dreadful shopping. We'll just browse and see if there's something we like even more

Thanks for all the input, it really helped make this decision! I think it's a good compromise, I get something I'll wear more and he'll choose it with all the time in the world :) Ultimately he says and I think too, we'll both be happier this way, and he gets to see his gift often and know I really loved it, not just liked

EDIT 2: He showed me his first choice (gorgeous pearl earrings) that he didn't buy because he thought I'd find them too big. I didn't and we were both happy with the decision to trade the second choice for his first choice. Didn't even bother to look through the rest of the store
