My dad has been laying off employees left and right in an injection molding shop (think machining but with plastics). Despite having orders to fill, the company cannot sustain paid leave. A friend of mine was laid off from his work a couple days ago and since he lives in the middle of no where, there are no other jobs available.

The news actually said that men were more likely to die from Corona than women, but that’s entirely different and won’t affect the pay gap.
