The comments from a CPS investigator in that article are spot on. Victims don't always support prosecuting their abusers. That does not mean that the abuser should not be sent to trial.

A £2 million a year news anchor abuses their domestic partner to the point where there's massive bloodstains all over the bed and bedroom. The police investigate and decide to lay charges because the partner is reticent to do so.

She killed herself because she felt guilty and rightly so. No sympathy for someone who reportedly earned £2 million a year and abused her partner. Flip the genders and it’ll be a different story.

Her most recent ex partner was gagged by an NDA, but has alleged she is abusive, and she was on trial for domestic violence after smashing a lamp over her sleeping boyfriend's head. When this news broke she more or less (rightly) lost her career.

She has all the hallmarks of a serial abuser and manipulator.

If a 31 year old man dated a 17 year old girl, would he still be allowed to be a presenter on big TV shows? I doubt it...

I spent the day in the car today, every station and every DJ all day was talking about it. NONE spoke about the fact she was getting the abuse because of the allegation that she committed domestic violence and smashed a lamp over her boyfriend's head. Also the fact that women receive most abuse from other women online was brushed aside.

If any man is accused of this kind of crime it's open season, job, credibly and life down the toilet. Just look what happened to Jonny Depp.

I genuinely feel bad for her. She was hounded by people that don't let the justice take place. Constantly piling onto her on twitter etc and from the media. It happens whenever something like this happens (male or female) people pile on and treat people like shite.

However she deserved to be prosecuted regardless of him withdrawing his complaint. If she does that once she could easily do it again, to someone else. I also think jail or whatever would help her.
