Hi, I'm 32 (I know, I'm over the hill and should probably kill myself) dating a 29 year old. I've gone out of my way to be feminine for him, since I figured I was 32 and still single so maybe I should do something different. I cook for him, clean his place, help him organize his life because he is brilliant but disorganized, don't nag him, be always upbeat and happy....and he has seemed totally into it. He seems to really appreciate everything that I do for him and seems to really cherish me, which is not what I am used to in relationships. This is my first time doing this. Reading the red pill was a harsh wake-up call for me butttttt.....a lot of those guys seem insanely misogynistic. RPW, to me, from lurking at least, advocates being feminine but without putting women down, so I thought this would be a good place to ask advice, rather than askTRP, where I feel like I'll just be shot down for my age, because at 32 obviously I'm a cock carousel riding harpy. This is not true, and I explain why I'm single in the last paragraph.
Anyways, I feel like he is starting to lose interest because I don't have hobbies of my own. Now, in my defense, I'm not clinging to him and making him my sole source of entertainment. And I've taken an active interest in his hobbies. I'm taking rock climbing courses because he loves rock climbing. But the other day, he asked me what I wanted to do, and I was all 'I don't care', and he mentioned something about me not having any hobbies. And the other night, we were at a party, and he was chatting with a woman scientist, and seemed interested in her job. I just have a normal job, and I felt inferior.
I mean, I do have hobbies and interests....but I want to get married and have a family so badly that I feel like none of my other hobbies matter. Like, I enjoy writing, but if me helping my boyfriend with something gets me closer to being a wife, I would rather focus my energy on that. Being a wife is much more important that being a writer, although being able to write as well would be nice. So...any advice so that I don't lose the affections of this great man? I guess I'm also a little frustrated because when I read the advice on here, it's just "Be feminine then men will love you!" I've been feminine, and he has seemed on board...but he also seems to be interested in women who have STEM careers, or are very accomplished. His ex ex was a research scientist, his most recent ex was an art professor even though she was only 26. It seems like maybe he does care about career, and there aren't enough cupcakes in the world or thoughtful listening that I can do make to change his mind.
Oh, and for everyone who's like 'why are you 32 and single, you must be a feminist harpy!' I'm very tall, and I have a genetic disorder. Dating is extremely difficult for me. I've never had men throwing themselves at me, even when I was in my 'prime' at 22 or whatever. I've been trying to find a husband for forever, but it's not easy when you're 6'3" and have a disorder that makes you look different. I think that I have a good and pure heart, but as we all know, men are visual creatures, so no one cares that I'm kind-hearted because my face is weird. So that's why I'm still single at 32. However, I am now consciously trying to be the best, feminine partner that I can be, and maybe I wasn't fully doing that before. Any advice is appreciated!
