Hi, all!
To start, I'm definitely not a conservative or traditional woman. For most of my life, my personality and aesthetic have geared towards masculine characteristics. I rarely express intense emotion, I hate being disrespected, and I'm not a romantic by any means. Aesthetically, I'm notorious for wearing ripped jeans and band tees in men's sizes. My best friend, who is the complete opposite of the aforementioned, regularly tells me I dress like a teenager boy.
In the same vein, there are feminine aspects of myself that I've always enjoyed investing in, such as my skincare, hair care, and hygiene. I'm always soft and moisturized, and I always smell lovely. Other women frequently compliment me on all these qualities. This sub has also inspired me to take better care of my health. My diet has completely changed, and I take the gym a lot more seriously since I've started reading posts on here. My feminine qualities would also be my patience, my politeness, and my loyal nature. I enjoy every single thing I've mentioned here. When my friends drag me to places where the dress codes requires I dress feminine, I have no problem attracting men. The qualities men usually compliment me on are my eyes, smile and how nice I smell. A good amount of men also make comments about how petite I am.
All that being said, I have no interest in being in a relationship. Like ever. It would be asinine to say that I would NEVER get into a relationship, but all of my short term and long term goals involve being alone, and it's what I happily imagine myself to be at every future stage in life. I also certainly never want to have kids. Most of my close girlfriends are focused on finding someone to settle down and grow with, but when they share their concerns of being lonely or looking forward to going on dates, I can't relate at all. Honestly, just the thought of dating or being in a relationship exhausts me.
I'm facing an inner conflict because since reading RPW I've been nurturing my feminine qualities, and this has brought me an inner peace, but the fact remains that I'm not interested in dating or relationships, despite RPW being a sexual strategy for women. Yet the more I see my friends invested in finding a partner, the more I wonder if I should do the same. I'm not at an age where I'm "too young" to be worried about these things, but I just don't feel an urgency to do so.
TLDR: Reading RPW has inspired me to connect with my feminity and doing so brings me joy, but I don't know where I stand with utilizing this "tool box" as my end goal is not to find/be in a relationship
