Ugh, it could be worse I suppose, but they appear to have not at all gone into the moral implications of and are entirely looking at it from the identity politics lens. For those wondering what the fuck I'm on about the issue is about 'faith' in other words what Muslims think as well as feminists and the 'journalist' in particular who is doing this piece is more worried about unregulated circumcision rather than circumcision generally.

I would be very surprised if they even took five seconds to delve into the issue of things like psychological trauma and the sort of permanent damage circumcision does and look at the various arguments but I suspect the political forces that control the BBC are terrified of upsetting the religious groups in this country.

Is there anything in it about growing it back? I saw one at the end of a Penn and Teller episode where this dude grew it back and I think he said at least some of the nerve endings grew back, but I never heard anything else, so I figured it didn't work that well. But I kind of forgot about it too, so I thought I would ask.

Anyone try it?
