Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

Sharia is progress reeeeeeee

Where is the outrage in the western media and left wing organisations about this? Imagine the outcry if a "Christian" country brought back imprisonment for gay men.

Brazil is not looking good for gay men though Balsonaro has wound back his statements into an acceptance of adult gays. South Africa isn't exactly gay-friendly. Russia is more serious with laws against gay "prosetylising", the fear seems to be that children can be turned gay. Chechnya is particularly bad, families have been urged to kill their gay men and a lot have died.

Indonesia is also adopting a more hostile approach to homosexuality and in some provinces is outlawed

Sounds similar to Malaysia. A decade or two ago they jailed the leader of the opposition party for allegedly being homosexual. I imagine his real offense was being too popular and threatening to win an election.

The law mostly applies to Muslims, including children who have reached puberty, though some aspects will apply to non-Muslims.

Under the new laws, individuals accused of certain acts will be convicted if they confess or if there were witnesses present.

  • Offences such as rape, adultery, sodomy, robbery and insult or defamation of the Prophet Muhammad will carry the maximum penalty of death.
  • Lesbian sex carries a different penalty of 40 strokes of the cane and/or a maximum of 10 years in jail
  • The punishment for theft is amputation
  • Those who "persuade, tell or encourage" Muslim children under the age of 18 "to accept the teachings of religions other than Islam" are liable to a fine or jail

I actually looked at the linked pdf of the actual legal document, the crimes are listed by their Brunei(?) names and the document will take at least several hours with google translate to decipher.

And while the maximum penalty may be death, according to the article the last execution was in 1957, so it may not be as quite as dangerous as it looks.

But still, it falls short be being a 5-star vacation location.

the thing with he death penalty is that once sentenced, the guilty party is allowed one final act of appeal against the death sentence..

.. and Brunei has never been any kind of tourist location, its deeply conservative and more so than neighbouring Malaysia( where I use to live and which has its own unique situation with interpretation of sharia law).

so for instance if i was caught with a woman who wasn't my wife( or did not match on my marriage card), the penalty would depend on whereabouts in the country i was..

OK. But if they were strict about this sort of thing, would not one expect more than 1 execution since 1957?

Also, at the end of the article, it mentions that the requirements for proof are so strict (4 witnesses for anal sex) that it seems they were written in such a way that no convictions are possible. Don't know, but this is what the end of the article said (by memory).

Well, that's because you can still force even a gay woman to conceive and give birth in order to expand or maintain your population.

I have to admit I agree with feminists that lesbians suffer less discrimination from anti-gay people, because lesbianism is more pleasing to male sexuality.

However, despite admitting this, feminists still don't prioritize discrimination against homosexual men over homosexual women. An excellent example of feminist pro-female bias, IMO.

[–]Razorbladekandyfan 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Thats not why there is less discrimination against lesbians...

[–]mtcapri 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why then?

[–]Razorbladekandyfan 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because gay men are also disposable, so they get harsher treatment like all men.

[–]mtcapri 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fair point, but I think the male sexual appetite for lesbians is also a factor.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Adding to this, there's also female sexual appetite for gay sex(which is the second common porn category for women) but doesn't find gay men attractive when it comes to choice for partners.

"Offences such as rape, adultery, sodomy, robbery and insult or defamation of the Prophet Muhammad will carry the maximum penalty of death."

Well, as long as you don't intend to sodomise the prophet Muhammad, everything will be fine...

[–]rahsoft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

its because they apply to the sodomy law, women just get 40(?) lashes ( on the understanding that women cant commit sodomy).
