Any legit tips on growing beard?

My beard has been full since I was 16 so I can't relate to the problem of not having a good one. But it seems like it's mostly genetic.

My friend tried using Rogaine foam (minodoxil)on his beard to fill a patchy spot for months and it did nothing but fuck his skin up and age his face and he regrets it.

You can make a paste with Miracle-Gro and sunflower seeds. Apply the paste as a mask each morning for 10 minutes right after you shower.

Monoxidil Foam only. If your getting really bad reaction then fucking drop it. I'm dropping it in 3 months since my blood pressure is getting fucked up.

It's all genetics, man. If you can't grow one then shave it. A lot of girls do like the scruffy look if you can grow something, just keep your neck shaved, a bit under your jawline to avoid the double chin look.

It might be genetics but also it might be related to testosterone levels. I tried twice to grow a beard in my 20's and 40's and failed miserably both times.

Now in my late 50's and lifting, eating right, taking supplements to manage my T and the is beard growing fine thank you.

Could also be I finally hit puberty in my 50's...

Just let it grow for like a year and see how it looks. It's a good lesson in not giving a fuck cuz it might look like shit for a while. Just commit and see what happens. That's what I did and now my beard looks great

growing a beard is a journey that is more important than the destination. i always wanted a good beard but was blessed with ginger, patchy, scraggly scruff (i have jet black hair and dark features). i endured it for 18 months before it looked like a reasonable beard.

the first couple of months you'll feel self conscious and people will periodically point it out like "oh i guess your trying to grow a beard?" but learning to brush it off will make you a better man. i often told my friends "the worse a beard looks, the more of a man it takes to wear it". my peers respected me a lot for this and inspired them to take their own beardly journey.

Some people can grow a beard at twelve, others can't until they're forty, and some can't grow one at all. My beard didn't start looking acceptable until I was twenty-eight, and I still can't even grow a full beard. I shave every three-four days because other than stubble it just looks pathetic.

If you can't grow one, you can't grow one. Figure out what looks best and just keep it there.

I used minoxidil (sp?) foam to fill a patchy area. It helped and I had no side effects. Notable difference in 2 months - not massive diff but it helped. Ordered off amazon and price was reasonable.

I recommend trying facial hair as well as rogaine or whatever if you need it. I am much older than most here so for whatever it is worth my experience has been that women who have known you will take a second look/assessment and has not negatively effected new women.
