My advice would be to be prepared for every possible eventuality. I don't know the woman but how do you know she's not saying 50-50 and no child support just to disarm you, and then in the consultation she drops all the 'abusive relationship' bullshit leaving you bumbling and not knowing what to say?

If you live in Florida, child support is by spreadsheet. If payment would go up by more than $50, the other part may make a modification motion.

Of greater concern is who will have primary residency? The future spouse's of non custodial parent income cannot be cited in a child support petition as a reason to change. Spouse of custodial CAN have income included in alimonies

I don't see how it could. The only way I would consider it "biting you" is if your ex is going to make a large amount of money soon and you want to keep the option for receiving child support open.

That's not to say that she can't bring you back to court in the future and try to get child support. But that would require action (and likely retaining an attorney) on her part, which is costly.

I might go for 75 percent custody

I tend to be of a mind that custody should be 50/50 unless there is very good reason for it not to be. If you are going to try and get more, I'd suggest having first solid evidence of a reason why. Going to a bar on occasion or smoking weed once will probably not be seen by the court as a solid reason. (then again I don't know what you are referring to in the OP)

Agreements made in divorce settlements in Florida can be changed on the whim of the female just by taking it back to court. I know this first hand.

How hard is it to change orders? Well, that all depends. Look down, do you see a penis or a vagina? If penis, very difficult. If vagina, it should be one of the easiest things you ever do in court.
