This Direct TV ad shows a woman destroying her ex-boyfriends belongings. Imagine if the roles were reversed?

Remember the Lee jeans advert (UK at least, late ‘90s) which had a naked man lying prone on the ground with a woman’s leg in boot cut jeans and a stiletto heeled boot held menacingly over his anus, with the caption: “Put the boot in”. Supposedly a play on words referring either to wearing boot cut jeans or pushing her heel up his ass.

We had massive billboards of that image everywhere + in print in magazines. Misandrist/encouraging violence against men? Nah mate, it’s just a laugh! Complaints to the ASA got nowhere.

There was also one around the same time for a Nissan Micra which showed a man in agony, holding his crotch (presumably having just been kicked in the nuts) with the caption: “Micra. Ask before you borrow it.” Again complaints against it not upheld and was explained away as just a bit of a joke.

Either of those images with the genders reversed (e.g. a man threatening to humiliate a woman via anal penetration using an object with a “witty” play on words or a woman with a black eye because she didn’t ask permission to borrow a car) and the world would have been close to ending.

Then there was a Punto advert - woman wakes man up by beeping horn, he looks out to see all his stuff spread around a square, he grabs the first thing at hand to wear (a pink night gown) and runs outside to protect his stuff whilst his girlfriend aggressively drives at/around him and his things in the car, having him run out of the way, all whilst wearing the pink thing. Caption - “Spirito de Punto”

Destroying a females belongings LITERALLY counts as 'Domestic Violence' in Britain, AND will mean you go on a register where any future girlfriends can search your name through a police website and be told you "committed domestic violence".

But when a woman does it, it makes for a funny idea for an advert...

THIS is how insane its gotten.

An insurance commercial on now shows something similar, I think a woman taking a bunch of clothes out of a closet & taking them to a window, I don't remember if they get thrown out or not. From the company with the host wearing a suit of armor half the time, Belair direct

* Yeah, throws clothes out a window, actually hits a guy in the head with a shirt. There's shoes & wooden hangars on the ground too, beaning someone with one of those would break at least one law.

?Saw it. Yes, women would be going right through the roof, and the MSM along with them, were it a man destroying a woman's belongings.
