Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

bordering? it is state corruption. It's corruption of not only the spirit of the law but the letter of the law, and a complete obliteration of the trust in the law, arguably at least as important.

When people aren't treated equally under the law - maybe they have a specific sex organ between their legs, or maybe they come from a certain different country or have a specific religion coffsubtlecoff - and some get special treatment... that's when not only the rule of law but the moral foundation of a country is mortally wounded.

[–]alclarkey 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

When the law fails it's people, those people no longer feel any obligation to obey it.

[–]Urishima 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But because the people have been disarmed, they can do fuck-all about it :D

[–]WiseAcadia 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

well they could, but a lot of people would die barehanded

i guess the best way to resist the gov would be to just become terorrists, threaten to kill any gov officials in any way possible but never reveal who are the terrorists. keep it up until most of the gov officials are sick of the risk and you win.

i wonder if this is exactly what's happening in the middle east

[–]njullpointer 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

not quite imo. in the middle east, the governments have been corrupt so long as a matter of course that they're not seen as any more or less legitimate than any other would-be power structure, like religion.

I don't know if the governments were ever seen as especially legitimate or as just another group of tough guys with the biggest sticks.

It's only men.

I love that the 85% conviction rate is deemed an indication that the system is working correctly.

Yes, we convicted 100% of our witch trials last year so the system is clearly functioning perfectly...

These are supposedly educated people FFS.

Maybe it's time to consider the possibility that a lot of rape accusations are false? Rather than simply withholding evidence and sending innocent men to prison?

Honestly, how has a Western country got to the point where because the public don't want to believe that women would make false accusations of rape, the police are lying to convict innocent men?

Like people don't like the fact that rape accusations don't lead to a conviction and the police had the choice between talking about the fact that women might make false accusations, or sending innocent men to prison, and they chose to send innocent men to prison so that they didn't damage womens' fee-fees? That is pretty fucked up.

men aren't just disposable, they are openly persecuted

MGTOW appears to be the way to go if a man is interested in playing it safe

[+]FastFourierTerraform1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like your conclusion is the opposite of the conclusion you should draw. If there's active persecution, the answer isn't to keep your head down and hope they leave you alone.

[–]The__Tren__Train 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

indeed.. but i think its more akin to staying out of shark-infested waters...

it's safe on the beach, and you can exist there passively, but you dare not venture out..

[–]Shippoyasha 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While it's true that people ought to fight, are people prepared to risk their social, public and work lives for it? Probably not. I don't blame them either. They're put at a tough situation morally and ideologically and if they lash out, they're castigated out of society for it.

[–]furchfur[S] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The tren train is correct. If men do not partner up and have children their is no future for society. They cannot force men to take partners. Society will have to change or their will be no future. The biggest losers would not be men!

[+]FastFourierTerraform1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll paint you a different picture: sperm banks contain enough genetic material to supply generations of people. Not to mention that as more men go mgtow it becomes increasingly difficult to avoid 'defectors' who will take advantage of their increased sexual value due to the lack of available men. So you effectively have an entire generation of single mothers. The government massively raises taxes so that all of the single men are effectively paying child support to these women in the form of wealth redistribution.

I still think that picture is a road to collapse, but I honestly see that happening before MGTOW is able to force social change.

[–]furchfur[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The cost and hassle of being a single parent is not worth it to most women. If the state increases taxes too far men just leave the country or do not pay. Over 20% of all 46 year old women in the UK have never had children. This is projected to increase to 30% in 10 years! This 30% will also be paying higher taxes claiming discrimination.

[+]oafsalot1 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

The thing is that police in the UK aren't required to search for evidence of innocence, or to acknowledge it. They're only required to do their job which is to turn a detection into conviction. That is how they get paid.

All police should now be required to give evidence under affirmation, that way it's perjury if they fail to mention exculpatory details.

[–]BanSpeech 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the best suggestion possible. It's a fair middle ground that won't raise any SJW flags (you might actually get some support from the anti-cop crowds if you keep your men's rights concerns to yourself), and it is already standard practice, by law, in places like the U.S. At minimum it opens cops up to lawsuits and termination. It would change attitudes very quickly.

[–]KingRobotPrince 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People should be being charged for withholding evidence. People should be losing their jobs.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure feminists are working feverishly to legalize this but only when done to men.

[–]Ashenox 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry but 97% isn't almost it is either corruption or a failure of the state in a massive way. The state itself is on a large scale obstructing justice.

[–]Vandechoz 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I highly doubt the UK is especially unique in this regard.
