I've often invited feminists to suggest how they would close the gender pay gap in porn and in modelling, with the promise that once they prove their idea works in those industries it could be considered for rollout to other industries and perhaps it would solve the gender pay gap everywhere.

Not one feminist has ever put forward an idea. Instead, all I get back from them are insults, abuse and blocking. It seems that inviting them to solve so-called "reverse gender pay gaps" in those industries triggers them to the point of incoherence.

There’s no evidence to suggest society dictates the professions we choose, that’s not saying it doesn’t play a role but to ignore the innate biological differences between men and women and how these differences impact the decisions we make is absurd.

Studies into 55 different cultures from across the world, researching how gender and personality norms vary from society to society, found regardless of environment, women across all 55 cultures are more nurturing, risk-averse and emotionally expressive while men are more competitive, risk taking and emotionally flat. Is it impossible to imagine this may be because gender is not a “role” we play, rather it’s a biological consistency?

Females are more inclined to be social, they want to form bonds and friendships, they want to work with people and living things. This could explain why women are flourishing in high paying careers such as law, education, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, agriculture, biology but it could also explain why women are drawn to childcare, humanities and social sciences.

Now consider more males tend to be happier sitting in their basements fixing things, tinkering machines, using tools, working alone. This could explain why men are flourishing in high paying careers such electrical engineering and computer engineering but it could also explain why men are our sewage cleaners, school janitors, brick layers, dishwashers and grave diggers.

These studies also showed the more prosperous and progressive the country, the greater these gender differences are. One could only conclude this is because in countries like the United States, we are given the freedom to choose whatever we want to do, so with that freedom in most cases, we go after what we naturally enjoy doing and what we are good at. Do we really believe the gender imbalance in some professions is an oppressive patriarchy’s doing rather than a result of our freedom of choice?

Just because there’s not equal representation in one profession, it does not mean that the underrepresented are being systemically kept out, maybe that particular group choose to be doing something else that interests them more, and this creates balance and stability in society? For such a simple concept, it’s amazing how many fail to grasp it.

There is no evidence to suggest the only thing preventing construction being a female industry and childcare being a male industry is social stigma. Can we not explore the possibility that men simply like constructing more and women simply enjoy caring more? Can we not accept girls preferring dolls over trucks isn’t socially constructed and designed by the patriarchy to oppress them, but because they simply like playing with dolls more than trucks?

These innate differences in behavioral patterns, preferences and ambitions are evident from childhood, across every culture and even across different species. Maybe it’s not a conspiracy and maybe we choose different paths because it’s what make us happy and it’s what has worked since the beginning of time? Sure, there are exceptions to this but it is not enough to say old rich white men have created our way of life rather than we have created it ourselves.

They repeat the exact same talking points that have been endlessly debunked. Their entire argument is, which they themselves write: “By comparing differences in annual earnings between men and women, we find that there is about a 23 cent difference per dollar according to the Census Bureau.”

Yes, annual earnings between all men and all women, they are comparing the annual earnings of neurosurgeons and civil engineers to kindergarten teachers and waitresses. It’s an illogical argument that serves absolutely no purpose when attempting an honest discussion about a supposed wage gap.

No one is denying there is an overall difference in earnings between men and women but there is no wage gap, there is no proof of a woman being paid less for doing the same job under identical circumstances, it doesn’t happen and if it did the employer would be taken to court and sued for pay discrimination.

It’s true men end up with more money in their bank accounts but that is because men and women choose different careers and different paths. When you begin to look at younger people, there’s a funny little fact that feminists love to exclude from their victim narrative: young women earn more than young men. Women are paid more than men until they reach their 40s, according to an official assessment of the gender pay gap by the Office for National Statistics. Women in their 20s have earned more than men in the same age group for the past decade and now women in their 30s are also paid more than males.

There’s a difference between the wage gap which doesn’t exist and an earnings gap which does exist. The only way we will ever close this earnings gap will be if women stop taking their liberal arts and gender studies courses and start doing all the dangerous, dirty, difficult and tireless work that men do. That technically would be equality. Though feminism has a different version of equality and that’s to start paying waitresses the same money as civil engineers or gifting women civil engineering CEO positions on a silver platter.

While it’s true there is a difference in overall earnings between men and women, the reality is most women just don’t care. The only way women will out earn men overall is if they sacrifice family and children and most women aren’t prepared to do that, they value the bond and time with their children and family more than they care about 23 cents. While their chosen career may not earn quite as much as her husband’s chosen career, she instead gains a stronger, closer and invaluable bond and relationship with her kids and it’s her husband who misses out on 23% of all the important moments in family life and loses 23% of the bond with his kid. It’s all about perspective and personal choices.

But let’s talk about why there’s not more women in top government jobs in the U.S. Women are substantially more likely than men to perceive the electoral environment as highly competitive and competitiveness is something that men outperform women in, that’s not sexism, it’s facts.

Female potential candidates are less competitive, less confident, and more risk averse than their male counterparts. Again, these are facts. Women react more negatively than men to many aspects of modern campaigns and simply women don’t want to run for office because most women don’t believe they live in an oppressive patriarchy and they are happy to take on careers that make them happy and take on things they’re actually good at.

And even with the government being male dominated, it’s still this government providing women with the upper hand in education, employment, legal rights, support, scholarships and grants, healthcare, government assistance, protection and social justice immunity so again, we aren’t oppressed ffs.

If you want more women in the government, then stop taking worthless gender studies classes and start taking political science degrees. Women already make up the majority of law students so the potential is there but women like you are willingly choosing to avoid challenging and worthwhile subjects that will put more women in male-dominated fields, you are doing this by choice so you have no one else to blame but yourselves. Let’s not forget that women hold the majority of vote so it’s about time you stop playing the victim and start taking accountability for once in your life.
