My Mother was a retail store manager for 7+ years before starting to have health problems. 25 years later, they’re still not sure what she has. Any idea how difficult it is to get disability without a solid diagnosis? My dad did work repairing industrial equipment and even worked at a nuclear power plant for a time before his health went to hell. Long story short, they had to blow through any retirement money to float us until the kids were old enough to work. Currently their medical costs exceed 1/3 of what they get off from disability, so not only can they not physically care for themselves(to a point) they cannot financially support themselves either… so I had to blow through my retirement savings to buy a place to accommodate all 3 of my disabled family members. Yea 3 I left one out and it’s not me…
Moral of the story is don’t assume that everyone on social assistance is greedy and looking for easy money because most of them are always suffering to a degree. Also stop being a dick.

I guess if you can't issue a warrant in your state you can still try the route of getting bank accounts frozen or a lien put on the home if the person has one. In general if this person doesn't pay, the rest of their life is going to be pretty difficult.
