My reaction to being asked for money by a homeless man (I've never seen a homeless woman, but the same would be true) is to give them some change if I have it.

So if she treated guys hitting on her the same way, she'd been sucking a lot more dick.

The sooner men stop fawning over every woman the better. If it was a random dude that you'd just walk by, do that. Ignore women, fish don't need bicycles. it's amazing how even in /r/askmen it's all about how women are victims and men are super evil for existing. I hope mensrights never gets taken over like that. Where can people even go now to vent their frustration or anger? I know of /r/mensrights and /r/pussypassdenied but both of them are considered "hate subs".... I hear /r/trueoffmychest is acceptable as well and I only found that out when I was banned from /r/offmychest for just posting in /r/mensrights. People still laugh at me when ever I talk about how men are extremely disadvantaged in the world and basically get the short end of the stick constantly.

I wonder how many of these women, who are always afraid of being assaulted by men, have actually ever been assaulted. I don't mean with being inconvienced, or talked to.. I mean actually assaulted.

This is an interesting example because in my experience of living in a city with a lot of poor and homeless, men are approached for money at an extremely higher rate than women. Without exaggeration I literally can't go anywhere without being asked for money at least once. And yet people recognize women being hit on as misogyny and/or objectification, but would never say that men being asked for money has any sexist elements.

Edit: It also occurs to me that nobody ever stands around hoping to be asked for money, yet people do sometimes hope to be hit on.

Actually, she was specifically describing strangers who hit on her in public places.That's not "men talking to women." That's a very small subset of the verbal interactions between men and women.

It's exhausting, and irritating, and occasionally scary. That's just the truth. And I say this as somebody who likes men, actively seeks out their company in social situations, and has the ironclad "married" excuse to deflect sexual advances without causing offense.
