This story makes me sick. R.M. should not have anonymity. She ruined a guy's life because she regretted initiating a sexual encounter with him.

It's gotten to the point where men now need male only colleges for protection against the rape witch hunts. Of course, feminists would decry that as misogyny and then return to their female only colleges.

Her allegation, which she aggressively used to ruin this young man's life, boils down to the idea that after a consensual act she felt that he should be held accountable for not inherently predicting her emotional response to her own actions.

Later in the article it's pointed out many college administrators claim their policy is won't change even if federal guidelines do, but I highly doubt that they'll stick to this kangaroo court nonsense when there's no guidline tying them too it and it continues to cost them millions to settle out of court with the young men they've wronged.

This is a perfect demonstration of the genuine evil at the heart of these policies. She didn't even need to lie and claim that she had been forced, coerced, pressured, or that she had been incapacitated. All she had to do was tell an adult that she felt bad, and the full weight of the system fell on this guy.

This statement.
This is what Title IX boils down to.
To make the victim feel better.
Not to get to the truth.
Not to serve justice.
But simply to make the victim feel better.

This makes me want to cry, soul-wrenching tears of agony. Because this shows just how little (read: not at all) real love and compassion there is in this world. Not for those accused, not even for those who are victims.

It's all just window dressing.

What pisses me off about this article is that it never actually mentions the elephant in the room, which is that feminism has been encouraging the policies, ideas, and general attitudes that form the foundation of this problem. Even as society is acknowledging the problem, feminism remains "off limits" for criticism.

He should have never had “interim restrictions” based on this fact pattern. However, it would have been better not to use her name with the activist group. I wonder if the Facebook “friend request” which couldn’t be proven would have been dismissed if her name hadn’t been released on that listserv. At that point he would have been fully exonerated. LOL who am I kidding? He’s a dude. They’d have come up with something else to punish him for. Running into her at a starbucks maybe.
