This is not a men's rights issue, this is inexcusable and that guy is absolute garbage if he can sit there and literally watch a child starve to death in front of his eyes. Reprehensible on every level.

The kid is his responsibility. When you marry someone, you take on responsibility to care for their kids too (goes for both genders). I view the obligation to support children far differently than I do the obligation to support adult women.

If she hadn't been arrested for child neglect, I'd view that as an injustice. But she was.

I didn't know there was a law for non-reporting, but since there is, it seems appropriate.

If the genders were reversed, I'd view the whole thing exactly the same.

My only question for this in the context of men's rights would be: Will he get the harsher punishment? Because I am cynical, yes most likely.
