That's actually a very gnarly statistic.

IMO, this sort of thing is going to have inertia behind it that does not bode well for the future in many regards. Very anecdotal here, but I believe we're already seeing it on the dating scene where women are experiencing difficulty finding someone -- because most men are just fucking miserable, earn less than them, and are checking out of the system.

This is something immensely important to point out. Yes, white men still statistically have it good, old white men. If we keep trying to rebalance things based on people not far removed from Don Draper's era, young men are going to have a very bad time.
