This is the crux of the debate. This is what separates MRA from PUA from "feminists" from real feminists. Name me one powerful person ever in the history of the world who has voluntarily given up power when it came at a loss for themself? I can name maybe one. George Washington. 99.9% of the time, this doesn't work. Power is not easy to give away. And if one simply inherits it, power is more often than not squandered. Rather than bicker over power balance, we can use our power to manipulate ourselves into a better position (PUA). Or we can do our best to fight back against losing the power balance (MRA). Or bitch and waste our emotions on a meaningless word battle while propping up our self esteem to a point it prevents actual needed change ("feminist"). Or, like the one party not present, an actual feminist, we can empower women to seize this power. Not ONE woman in that audience asked the tough questions... how can they as individuals seize this power or set up their daughters to be more powerful. Why is Ross a published millionaire while they are stay at home moms or making 80 cents on the dollar (or was it 75 cents back in the 90s?) Instead they focus on the MRA and critique his fashion. Or "Ross" and how he pronounces his name or his choice of relationships.

The most dangerous man there is the "feminist". How can you chastise playboy or pornography? How many thousands of women has Hugh empowered over the years. How many tens of millions of dollars have been transferred to playboy bunnies? How does the audience not recognize the value in their own sexuality? Because most are prude, ugly, and closed-minded and would never have the cajones to make it to playboy. Ross may be a dick. The MRA may be weird. But neither of them tried to take away one of women's historic pathways to power.

The winner here of course is NBC. And Ross for some nice ol' self promotion. The loser is every woman (or man) slightly moved by this but only to a point of suffering outrage and not enacting real change.

I fucking love how right after the audience were circlejerking about how "it's not just about sex!" they all ganged up against the MRA and shit-talked against him saying he couldn't get any pussy. Way to go discrediting your own point! The guy's point obviously doesn't matter because he presumably can't get sex!

The attacks were totally unwarranted, as the MRA guy in the middle didn't even agree with the PUA, and only wanted to stick up for people he thought were being downtrodden. He said barely anything against women other than the fact that much of society puts them on pedestals today.

Ross is Boss. There is one question I would have liked him to answer differently. When they asked why no woman in the audience wants him, he should have said it's because women are socialized to not verbalize their love for the Alpha asshole.

Watching these women (I thought many of them were on the lower end of the 'attractive scale," even by 90's standards) were presumptuous and ignorant. These women are perfect examples of why I feel ashamed to be a woman myself. They don't listen, and they assume their view is the correct one. The woman that says "hush hush hush" is obnoxious. The host said she was going to remain impartial, and that didn't even last for two questions.

I wish I could apologize to men on behalf of all women, because this nonsense is revolting. Unfortunately, many women still think the same way today.

Feminism wants men to deny their natural biology, but the men's right movement wants women to deny their own biology.

The women are angry at the MRA and the MRA is angry at the women, why? both are following their natural biology. Being in support of MRA will get you no where and if you ever vocalise your choice then you are hated by almost everyone.

Best attitude is Ross's attitude. "I accept reality for what it is, and do my best to accommodate myself".
