Girls strip 11 year old boy naked and post it on YouTube. Police call it prank until news gets involved. The boy's mother even mentions how big the outrage would be if genders were reversed, but says she doesn't want to ruin girls futures. This idea that boys deserve no modesty is horrible.

If she did that at the school, imagine what she does at home

[–]HBinno 28 points29 points30 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, if the kid is bullying at school it's probably a result of him being bullied by his mother at home. ..

[–]Imnotmrabut 34 points35 points36 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

Here we see the snowflake on the tip of the iceberg.

[–]jimmyjamm11 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. But, a question does need to be asked? Where's dad?

[–]nessfalco 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Does it really need to be asked?

Way the fuck away from this crazy ass bitch!

Always the question must be asked, for both parents.

[–]AppaBearSoup 50 points51 points52 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sex crime. Lock her up for a decade at least and ban all future contact with children.

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points40 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She needs to be jailed for this. And the boy needs a better family.

[–]Proteus_Marius 34 points35 points36 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

The school administrator and behavior specialists need to be charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allowing this to happen at school.

[–]FeierInMeinHose 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I don't think they need to be charged with anything, but they do need to have new policies in place that tell them to take custody of the child and call police in events like this. The article clearly states they tried to help him by giving him clothes, so it's not that they were totally complacent, but they shouldn't have let him go home with someone who is clearly abusive.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

After she paraded him around naked in front of the class. Why didn't they stop her from stripping him?

[–]maniclurker 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The answer should be obvious. People are afraid to do the right thing in our feminized culture. They may be charged with assault or some other nonsense for trying to stop the mother.

CYOA - cover your own ass. No one else will do it for you.

[–]FeierInMeinHose 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Probably because she had him do it after they left the meeting, not in the office after the meeting was over.

I guess we don't really have an exact breakdown of where events transpired so we both took what the article wrote differently. I thought it was the mom leaving the office with her son after the meeting and forcing him to strip down out of view of the faculty. I can't imagine anyone with a righteous bone in their body would let her get away with forcefully stripping him down in front of them.

Also, she didn't parade him around in front of the class, she paraded him around outside on the walk from the school to the parking lot. He wasn't in class, even if his classmates did see him.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

You're right, we don't know where he was shown to the class, but this is the quote:

"Pierce alleges Cole drove off with her son after parading him nude in front of all of his classmates. Before reaching their home, Cole pulled the car over."

I think it's safe to say that she made sure that they all saw him very exposed.

[–]FeierInMeinHose -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, and I'm not arguing that what she did was even remotely acceptable, but I don't think the faculty knew she was going to do this before it was already happening, so there wasn't this complacency you're alleging, as the article does say that the teachers tried to clothe him. I feel like there might be some policy in place stopping them from taking the boy away from her, because it seems kind of weird for them to try and clothe him but not to try and take him away from an obviously abusive parent.

/u/sillymod isn't this a human rights issue, not a men's rights issue? /s

[–]sillymod -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women behaving badly posts? Come on. Grow up man.

Clearly you are sensitive about one particular issue, and you feel the righteous desire to proselytize about it. But you need to take a step back and understand the system.

[–]atheist4thecause -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe "the system" needs reform. So "women behaving badly" posts get to stay as "men's rights", but the human trafficking of boys is banned from the Subreddit? That makes no sense, man. This is a system that is broken and needs reform.

[+]Stripes1974 -8 points-7 points-6 points 9 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

Agreed.
This isn't a men's rights issue.

[–]atheist4thecause 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

The only difference is that I was being sarcastic. But hey, it's not like a boy being stripped of his clothing in front of others to shame him is infringing upon on his rights, right? /s

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

I happen to think the constant dismissal of boys/men's privacy and modesty is a huge issue. This would never happen to a girl.

[–]atheist4thecause 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You missed the point of my post. Don't you also think that the human and sexual trafficking of boys also deserves a place on this Subreddit? Because many of the mods here remove those posts calling them "human rights" issues and not "men's rights" issues. Also, I don't agree that privacy and modesty issues "would never happen to a girl". They are issues for some men and boys, but they also are issues for women and girls. These types of posts still beling here, just as the human and sexual trafficking of boys belong here.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Women's privacy/modesty is almost always valued more than men's. there are many medical blogs about it.

Not to mention double standards like female prison guards can supervise nude male inmates but male guards cannot supervise nude female inmates.

[–]atheist4thecause -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Women's privacy/modesty is almost always valued more than men's. there are many medical blogs about it.

And what is the privacy and modesty that is valued when girls are kidnapped, sold into sexual slavery, forced to perform satanic rituals, and even forced to eat their own stillbirths? Yeah, please tell me about how these issues only impact men and boys.

The obvious answer is these impact both males and females, but that doesn't prevent this issue from being a men's rights issue. Nearly everybody understands that besides you, /u/sillymod, and some of the other mods here.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't think anyone here supports human trafficking. If there's some literature or something you'd like for me to read about it then I certainly will. We were simply discussing something else.

[–]atheist4thecause 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You don't get it. The mods here censor it. They've deleted article after article that I've posted, especially the ones that start getting popular. I had one that had over 30 upvotes rising quickly within around an hour and they deleted it. I'd love to talk about human and sex trafficking of boys, but unfortunately, if I go further than this the mods will censor me.

[–]Stripes1974 -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

And you're right about the fact that this woman has done something deplorable. But this isn't about a woman doing something against the rights of men. This is a person doing something that is inherently wrong. It doesn't matter if the parent was male or female- that's why this isn't a MRA issue.

I don't disagree- this is a fuck-up matter, and the mother deserves to be punished. I never said that she didn't. I'm just saying that this is not an MRA issue.

[–]atheist4thecause 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Wow. You're actually going to make me defend this post. Okay. It's not about the perpetrator, it's about the victim.

[–]Stripes1974 -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And as I just said to another poster, if the parent who violated the victim's rights were male, that would not mean that the victim had not been violated.

In this case, that means that this is NOT an MRA issue.
An MRA issue is one where it isn't about the victim, it's about the double-standard between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator. And this isn't one of those.

[–]atheist4thecause 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

An MRA issue is one where it isn't about the victim, it's about the double-standard between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator. And this isn't one of those.

/u/sillymod, do you see what you have done? You have stupefied this Subreddit so much that people now believe Men's Rights is not about victims, only double standards between female and male perpetrators. I hope you think long and hard about the damage your censorship is doing.

[–]Stripes1974 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not trying to imply that the victim has no importance.
But a victim is a victim. A male victim is just as deserving of sympathy and justice as a female victim- so in that way, they are the same.

That being said, a female perpetrator is just as deserving of punishment as a male perpetrator-- but that is NOT what happens- and THAT is when it is an MRA issue-- because we're not saying that a male victim who is victimized by either gender is just as important as a female victim who is victimized by either gender-- we're saying that a female perpetrator should be punished and jailed for victimizing anyone of either gender, in the same way that a male perpetrator should be punished and jailed for victimizing anyone of either gender.

And that latter issue is not the one that is being pointed at here, not by the article, at any rate.

Edit
It appears I might have missed in the article where the woman was given a light punishment for her actions.
In that light, then at that point, this would be an MRA issue.

[–]HugoBorden 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

this is not an MRA issue.

Your opinion only.

The rights of this boy were violated.

[–]Stripes1974 -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yes- we agree that the boys rights were violated.
But if the parent had been his father, his rights would still have been violated.

I.E., that makes this NOT an MRA issue.

[–]HotDealsInTexas 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You just don't get it, do you?

The point is that if this had been done to a girl, there would have been far greater response from the school and from society.

[–]Stripes1974 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I get it perfectly.

You "just don't get it"-- about what I'm saying. You're focusing on the fact that a boy was victimized by a woman. Important, yes, but not in itself an MRA issue.
It becomes an MRA issue when it also involves the fact that the female perpetrator is not punished in the same way as a male perpetrator for committing the same crime.

Now, if that is what has happened, then it is an MRA issue.

[–]HotDealsInTexas 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I am NOT focusing on the fact that a boy was victimized by a woman. I am focusing on the fact that a boy was victimized, and that the act is seen purely as public humiliation rather than a sexual violation, which would most likely NOT be the case if a girl was victimized in the same way. The gender of the perpetrator is irrelevant.

[–]Stripes1974 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Alright- I'll agree:

IF we're looking at it as the fact that the assault of a male victim is being marginalized by calling it public humiliation, and that in the same case that the assault of a female victim is held to a higher standard--

which, to be honest, we do not know for certain about this matter--

--THEN I would agree, that THAT would also make it an MRA issue.

But that is speculation, regarding this case. We don't know for a fact that this would have been the result if it had been a little girl being beaten by her mother in this same way (with these same details).

And if you want to say, "well, if the parent was male..." well, then you're making the gender of the perpetrator "relevant".

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes- we agree that the boys rights were violated. But if the parent had been his father, his rights would still have been violated. I.E., that makes this NOT an MRA issue.

Men's rights are violated by a female.

But if the perpetrator was male, his rights would still have been violated... not a Men's Rights issue.

His RIGHTS were violated, whether the perpetrator is Male, Female, or XER doesn't matter. That's what makes this a men's Rights Issue.

[–]Stripes1974 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We'll have to agree to disagree.

My point was that a child being violated, in and of itself, by a woman DOES NOT make this a MRA issue-- because a child being violated, in and of itself by a man, does not make it an MRA issue. It is not the fact that the victim is a boy and the perpetrator a female that makes this an MRA issue.

What DOES (or would) make this am MRA issue is either:
A) The double standard of punishment for the commission of a crime between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator; and/or
B) The double standard of how the victim is perceived and the crime against them is interpreted (i.e, male victim of rape is only "roughed up and assaulted" while under the exact same circumstances a female victim of rape is "violated and humiliated") by the law and society.

In getting a fuller picture of what took place, I am tending to agree now that the issue is one for MRA.

But I do stand by my initial assessment, in that in a situation where the only known facts are that a boy was violated by a woman-- where we do not know what the general public is, where we do not know if the perpetrator was punished-- then it is not at that point and that time a MRA issue.

[–]YuriDiAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Well it's great you two agree on this. I disagree with you two.

[–]Stripes1974 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

And you're well within your rights to disagree.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

These things happen to boys and cot girls though because of this ingrained idea that boys don't deserve privacy.

[–]Stripes1974 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That's not entirely true.
But I will concede that your point, while it has merit, is not the focus of this matter.

An MRA issue is one where it isn't about the victim, it's about the double-standard between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator. And this isn't one of those.

[+]nedsbeds points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Well I'd actually disagree there too. There would be a much larger outcry. Like this would be at the top of r/news if a dad stripped his daughter naked, paraded her around in front of her class, drove home with her still naked, kicked her out of the car and made her walk through the apartment complex naked. There's no way he'd be released on such light charges. It would be a Brock Turner sized story.

[–]Stripes1974 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Okay- as I just mentioned to another poster--

It becomes an MRA issue when it also involves the fact that the female perpetrator is not punished in the same way as a male perpetrator for committing the same crime.

You're saying that the female perpetrator was lightly-- or not at all-- punished for her actions. At that point, then yes, it becomes and MRA-issue.

The fact of the gender of the victim and the outcry by the public, in and of themselves-- those two factors only, do not make this an MRA issue.

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

An MRA issue is one where it isn't about the victim, it's about the double-standard between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator.

No, an MRA issue is one where there's a double standard. In this case there is a double standard between female and male victims.

[–]Stripes1974 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And after getting a fuller picture of things, I would agree with that assessment, based on the the consideration that there was more than just the report of a male child being violated.

My point was that a child being violated, in and of itself, by a woman DOES NOT make this a MRA issue-- because a child being violated, in and of itself by a man, does not make it an MRA issue. It is not the fact that the victim is a boy and the perpetrator a female that makes this an MRA issue.

And as you pointed out-- and I am agreeing with-- it becomes an MRA issue when there is a double standard about how the victims are treated because of gender.

[–]YuriDiAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One of my heuristics for "Is this an MRA issue?" is "If the genders were flipped, would the offender be in jail?" I have to answer yes on this, but I can see how you're interpreting this.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

The mother wouldn't have thought it was okay to do this if it weren't for society-wide attitudes towards males' experiences, what they can "take," what bothers them, etc. I see this as being on the same level as the letting women reporters into men's locker rooms.

I can't imagine this happening to a girl. I can't imagine either a mother or father ever thinking that this would be okay to do to a girl, unless they were legitimately out of their minds. Maybe this woman was insane, but I think it's more likely that she just didn't think it was a big deal, again, based on those same attitudes that make people think women in men's locker rooms is acceptable.

[–]Stripes1974 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As I've said to another poster, I will concede your point, but-- at least to my way of seeing this-- is not the focus of this matter.

Yes, the boy was violated, and yes, the why of it-- as you've explained about attitudes towards male experiences-- is something to be fully aware of. But that doesn't make it an MRA issue.

An MRA issue is one where it isn't about the victim, it's about the double-standard between a male perpetrator and a female perpetrator. And this isn't one of those.

[–]HardKase 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What? Are you insinuating that is too young or something? My mom had me at 21 (on purpose, even!) and never stripped me naked in front of the class when I misbehaved.

He's one of those people who thinks correlation 100% equals causation.

It could be they had them young, but also were abused by their parents, so didn't develop as fast as a person needs to in order to not abuse their child later on.

It could be that if they'ed waited 6 years, they'd mature into non-child abusing, despite their past.

It could be along a different line, that X amount of people are abused and will abuse their children, but that older women are less likely to have children and thus abuse them because they're such low value due to their age and likely also due to lack of caring for themselves that a man will not hook up with one and get them pregnant, because its a clear lose-lose situation for her, especially when he knows she's an abusive cunt.

This is especially true when a 21 year old man doesn't know his girlfriend of 21 has the capacity for being abusive to a child, but if he's 10 years older, he knows she'll do that to his child and doesn't want to have kids with her, and breaks up with her instead.

The failing of u/Freyzi is considering the problem solely from the female angle, the gynocentric angle. Older men may not impregnate abusive women because they know better by then, and thus you have a lower rate among older women of abusing their own child simply because they don't have one.

Correlation does not mean causation of course though.

Don't assume things about me.

I am insinuating that. It's not the rule obviously but I have seen SO so so so so many reports of child abuse and neglect from parents who had their child way too young. Correlation does not mean causation of course though.

That's great that your mom had you planned, hopefully it meant she felt she was completely financially stable and that she felt your father was her soulmate. But not only is your mom in the minority but that goes especially for nowadays compared to what 20-30+ years ago when you were born.
