What's stopping anyone from really attempting to solve problems? A lack of conviction or convenience. People value other things over advocating for men's rights or believe that it won't work as well as it is needed.

It is inconvenient to either leave your job or arrange off time to protest or campaign to inform legislators and even more so with a large group. The system itself is designed to be inconvenient against such changes.

However, this type of change will never be convenient so we're left only with those of sufficient conviction, and this is generally lacking in humans.

If you expect me to talk about all the protests I have organized... Well, I have school and work. I don't exactly have enough manpower or time to organize a march.

There's plenty being done.

The Red Pill documentary Kickstarter was funded in part by MRAs and I contributed. I've also done other things to help like promote International Men's Day locally, and other things.

People will contribute how and what they can. And while I would like to encourage people to do more, people should feel okay about doing just small things. Even taking more time to look after yourself, and consider what you want is a net positive for men.

I have convinced at least 2 businesses to end discriminatory treatment of men (either charging higher prices or not serving them during certain hours) by sending them polite but simple letters. Notice I said letters, not e-mails. E-mails may work but are less effective.

I have found that making legal threats does not work. Instead, make the case for why discrimination results in lost profits. That is what business owners care about.

Just off the top of my head. My employer's dress code allowed female employees to wear sweaters, but not male employees. I got them to change the dress code. They also tried to offer free facials to female employees only. A complaint opened it up to male employees as well.

I believe it was Kingsbourgh college, but I'd have to look it up used to have outdated information on their men's center page and u[dated student conduct information on their women's center page. They essentially told women where they could file complaints and whom they could contact, etc. They only suggested to men that they could if raped, but didn't provide the contact info, etc. I wrote to their title IX coordinator and got them to update the men's center page.

I've mentored two troubled teenage boys and got one out of the criminal justice system. They were both being abused, but no one ever bothered to ask them because they were boys so it was just punishment for acting out. One had made a bomb and set someone on fire, but now he's an honor student. That's what happened when DCFS started fixing the abuse at home and he moved in with his grandma.

I've made financial contributions to some men's causes / projects. I'm not the kind who marches, but I am the kind that sues. There are a lot of things an individual can do.

I can appreciate the kick in the pants approach if that's what you're going for, but you might do better posting a solution of your own rather than playing armchair quarterback.
