Well she gave consent and then changed her mind the next day, this is the area that confuses sane people and why people don't take all rape claims seriously.

That means millions of people are supporting a man, who was recorded on tape saying he helps himself to women's bodies.

I honestly hate trump but shit like this I hate even more. It's slander and misrepresentation, and used as a source of outrage in an explicitly gendered way(how many women still joke about being able to grab a guy by the balls?). He was recorded on tape saying something along the lines of "when you're powerful, you can just grab women the pussy". This is not "helping himself to women's bodies". Nothing in that line implies that he would be grabbing women against or without their consent. There is a clear aspect of implicit consent present here that these feminists are neglecting or omitting to fit their narrative. It's disgusting. A very large majority of women are attracted to powerful, successful and rich men. These are the women he would have been referring to because these are the women who would deliberately seek out and sexually engage with such men(generally expecting those men to make not only initiate physical/sexual contact but also do so strongly and assertively, because those are the gendered expectations women still have of men).

What Trump did was shine a light on women's hypergamy and how they actually want this kind of behavior from men. Feminists hate that truth and try to twist it into another narrative.

They want to teach men, when they ought to teach women. Men are only as "good" as women allow them to be. Women want the powerful and borderline rapist man. That is the cold and harsh reality for meek men who bought into nonsense lies.

It's funny how they always miss the "they let you do it" part of that statement. He is not advocating rape or sexual assault - what he's saying is simple, if you're rich or famous women are attracted to you, you don't need to put the effort in that every day joe does! Not exactly breaking news lmao

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. The implication is that they let it happen much the same way a man who unzips and takes it out is letting it happen to him.

I've been brazenly foward, like Trump, and guess what. They take me along to fuck. That was when I was in a good place in life though. I've been piss poor and lanky and tried the same. Landed me in jail.

[–]Rethgil 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The only good thing is that it looks like Hilary's rampant misandry and attempts to win by appealing to feminists with such smearing and lies about men cost her dearly in the end.

[–]WillMeatLover 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually, he even clearly stated "women LET you do these things when you are rich bla bla bla"

[–]Mashiki 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

(how many women still joke about being able to grab a guy by the balls?).

A lot. Go to a female dominated workplace as a guy and they forget you're there? It'll happen in seconds. Some don't even look embarrassed when they're caught at it. It's all sly, sometimes shy smiles and shit eating grins.

Be a cop, firefighter? They're not jokes, they happen. Go on a ride-along, in similar dress(aux uniform) to a cop? Work a parade, bar or concert with the POLICE reflective vest? You'll get groped as a guy by women. Happened to me all the time when I was an aux or went on ride-alongs with the police services here. Hell it happens enough that guys in the locker room will actually compare the number of times it happens.

The only difference between the two cases is men in most cases won't press charges and will ignore it. Most women on the other hand will scream from the rooftops if you bump into them in a crowd.

Does nobody else think that the President of the fucking country should have more tact than to say "grab that woman by her pussy"? Am I just taking crazy pills here?

[–]fac1 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It was a long time ago and he didn't know the mic was on.

[–]Lethn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I'm far past the point of caring about tact and civility when you see the shit that's been coming out of the mouths of the anti-capitalist left. These people cry about being civil and using 'decent' language yet they have been publicly saying the absolute worse shit about other people they disagree with for years.

Fuck them, fuck political correctness, yes, he probably should have more tact than that, but the left has driven out anybody else who would have been polite and rational, people only have themselves to blame because of their fucking language policing and fake outrage about anything somebody says.

[–]Atheist101 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

....Obama would never say something like this.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did you even watch Obama during his 'speeches' when he was attacking Trump just before the election? He may not have been swearing but he couldn't be any more condescending and arrogant. To me the attitude of the media and these politicians is far more insulting than just saying a swearword or using crude language, they have nothing but contempt for people who disagree with them.

It is this attitude that cost them the election overall, they refused to ever evaluate themselves or question their own beliefs despite how much completely reasonable people were asking them to or to even just base their views on scientific fact and logic.

[–]darkgatherer 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except Obama is right, Trump isn't qualified to be president and he's going to make a lot of people who voted for him very sorry they did. I bet there are going to be a lot of people in the future pretending they never voted for him, as is the case with George W.

[–]ExpendableOne -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How do you know what Obama says in private, or how he speaks to certain people in private? How he speak to the public is one thing, how he speaks with his colleagues, his family, his friends, his wife or his close friends would all probably be different.

[–]ExpendableOne 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"should" and "be required to" are two different things. Presidents are people too and I can guarantee you that every leader, male or female, in the history of mankind and in every country has said tactless things their lifetimes. This was also literally crass talk made in private, which also happens to have been recorded. If you followed every presidential candidate with a microphone without their knowledge or consent, it won't really take long before you catch them saying something without "tact". Also, it's really fucking petty to complain about swearing or crass. You're a grown up, he's a grown up, and there are far worse things to worry about. You should be worrying more about what people are saying, rather than how they are saying it. Someone saying "death to all white men" in the most tactful way is still far more of a problem than someone saying "women want to have sex with me" in the most tactless way.

"I just start kissing them, it's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it, you can do anything ... Grab them by the p*ssy. You can do anything."

So what? he should wait for the girl to go "GRAB MY PUSSY DADDY TRUMP" during a make out session? sorry- news flash, but unless you are dealing with an extremely forward (and by extension Extremely rare) woman, that is not how the sexual exchange works.

And you cant be expected to just stop mid make out sesh and go 'if you dont mind my strong and independent womyn friend, i'd quite love to touch your gen-tales, do you mind if i do? if not its totally ok and i respect your choice and dont think more or less of you because of it.'

thats not how sexual advances work- if you are making out and you go in for some more intimate touching- its on the other party to say no or stop it and until women collectively stop being embarrassed about sex, or being closed off about sex, the onus will continue to fall to men to be the advancing party in the sexual transaction.

'if you dont mind my strong and independent womyn friend, i'd quite love to touch your gen-tales, do you mind if i do? if not its totally ok and i respect your choice and dont think more or less of you because of it.'

Women literally and overwhelmingly shame and delegitimize heterosexual men for not acting in an assertive sexual manner with women, if not specifically because they themselves do not wish to take the lead or teach inexperienced men. They will call those men meek, unmasculine, unmanly, weak, cowards or worse, and will generally do so ruthlessly and without the slightest bit of empathy for what those men may be going through emotionally, psychologically or physically. It's "perform as a man, on command, or you are no man at all", and then they wonder why heterosexual men act the way they do around women.

Consent for every step of the way, this just does not work

[–]FFXIV_Machinist 9 points10 points11 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

and thats insanity. it completely ruins the sexual experience for normal people. maybe for borderline mentally ill folks this is ok... but jfc man, as a vast majority women want men who are assertive and confident in everything they do; this includes sexy funtimes.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But if you get involved in a psycho who will cry rape when you're trying to be the initiator of sex, then you're fucked as a guy.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As much as I like the article, I'm a bit concerned with her final sentence about how it was all about facilitating communication anyway, so whatever. Which really isn't what enthusiastic consent is about.

True but it is very technically sexual assault under feminist terms or even government terms if you're kissing and you grab someone and they tell you to stop. That Stop means they didn't consent and therefore you have violated their lack of consenting to that behavior.

Most normal women don't feel like that's sexual assault... yet.

[–]FFXIV_Machinist 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

granted most dudes just dont go in for the kill right off the bat... its usually a hand on the thigh, or a hand on a breast, and it progresses untill its either stops or culminates.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If somebody says stop, then sure, it's possibly non-consensual. But that isn't what's being discussed here.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If somebody says stop, then sure, it's possibly non-consensual.

Uh, if you kiss someone and they say stop, they haven't had their "consent light" ON and then turned it off, their consent light was off before you hit their lips with yours.

That is THE BIGGEST FLAW AND PROBLEM with the notion of consent vs sexual assault. It turns things from a black and white objective, as your notion goes, and into a grayscale. How long did you know the person? Would a "reasonable person" think they wanted that kiss? Etc. All are judgement calls that have to be made to determine if it was sexual assault in actuality, because by definition any contact of a sexual nature where the other party doesn't want it is sexual assault.

Say you were dating someone and broke up but stayed friends. Then you went over to their house and when you met you tried to tongue them, that could be considered sexual assault because they're no longer in a relationship with you and therefore you can't even assume consent as a "reasonable person".

Tell me again how rape and sexual assault accusations will ruin a man's career

Yes, they can ruin a career or a while life. Notice how she didn't say Tell me again how rape and sexual assault accusations will ruin a man's career? That is because she knows exactly what she is saying, accusations, true or false don't hurt anyone.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not true. This is a very rare case where accusations haven't hurt him yet, and because all we have had so far his his words which aren't proof, and some women falsely accusing and being proven to be liars.

If he wasn't famous, and/or their claims could be probable, then he'd be done.

The part that gets me is the "grab them by the pussy" statement they say is bad for our kids and basically sets a bad example. Its from 2005 and was only drug up and exposed to children's ears by the very same people pushing the motion that its bad for our kids.

Its like parents letting their 6 year old watch a movie and the guy says the word "fuck." The parents should turn their argument back to themselves for letting the kid watch them movie and not the actor for saying it.

I think what it means is that people are starting to see through false allegations.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
