It's odd that the "body-shaming" angle is getting so much more play than the invasion of privacy one. I mean, as far as I know, body-shaming is not a crime, while taking candid pictures of individuals without their consent, in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy is indeed a crime. That's what she's being charged with, isn't it?

Also, I'm not sure that there would be quite as much universal outrage if a man had his picture taken like this. I'm sure some of the media outlets that are up in arms about this would find the situation much funnier if there was a man they could laugh at.

Look guys, this is a non-article. Photographing someone, especially naked and focused-on/portrait, without their consent should be punishable. I say this as a swiss guy, thank god they're american so anything other than blatant threats of murder, invasions of privacy/non-consent and child porn is legal to do/say. The BBC made a wrong, attention-seeking headline out of it. From a european point of view, the headline might be normal. It isn't and shouldn't be. "Body-shaming" could never be a crime under the american text, view and interpretation of the law, only the european pussies could ever think "yeah, sounds reasonable". You know, the same countries where being offensive, blasphemous or racist is a crime. It isn't in america.
