When and where did this happen? Did you film it, or where is it from? What happened afterwards; how did this story pan out, if it did yet? Did it go to court?

Is there a full length version of the video? There is a part missing in the middle.

The guy should have walked away and called the cops. Standing there and taking it was wrong. He also seems a bit intoxicated by the way he threw the punches, but that might be dazed after taking that abuse.

That guy would get arrested for fighting back. Now imagine genders were reversed. Imagine the guy was the one who was slapping her, and then she fought back and knocked him to the ground. She would go free. But because he is a male, I bet he'd be arrested as he "should have walked away".

I particularly love how the dailymail reported on this case a few months back:

Thing is, they feature the full video. The full one minute of abuse he took before punching her to the ground in less than 10 seconds. So her violently abusing him for a whole minute is totally acceptable. You know, punching him in the face, ripping his ear, kicking him, the whole shebang. But he defending himself, that crosses the line. The fact that they make her out to be the victim is horrifying (fortunately though, at least the comments on the article show that most people see the gross double standard and sympathise with the guy). Yes, it was a douche bag move of him to go after the innocent women who came to help his girlfriend. That was unnecessary and uncalled for imo. But the cunt of a girlfriend had it coming and she deserved every bit of it. Had she been a guy friend of his, the big guy would have either defended himself way more early on and the situation wouldn't have escalated to that extent or he would have punched him to a bloody pulp after enduring abuse for a whole minute. We can only speculate about the abuse he had already suffered from her in private, if she was willing to assault him like that in public.

This is pure female privileged. Toxic femininity if I ever saw it. She figures that if she is a woman, she can hit a man as many times as she likes, and he, as a man, won't hit back, and she can get away with it.

Apparently this happened in Russia about 2 years ago.

Was the woman hurt badly? I certainly hope so! As for the guy, he looks drunk, which may explain why it took several blows to floor someone half his size. And, no, don't give me any shit about how he shouldn't have hit someone smaller. Hell, is a man the size of, say, Tom Cruise, allowed to thump men the size of Dwayne Johnson without getting his ass handed to him? No, and that's a size difference of almost a foot and 100 pounds!

I believe in self defense but after his first punch he wasn't defending himself anymore. he was chasing after her so he could knock her out. that's not defense, it's retaliation.

Had he humbled her correctly, one punch is all he would have needed to stop her advance. That is the point of self-defense, to escape. She baited him and he swallowed it. He did not appear to have been trained in any self-defense that I recognize.

Anyway, I don't defend retaliatory violence. Leave, file a report. He was not in any danger.

Now, it is true that the police, etc., are disparaging regarding female-on-male abuse. But that doesn't mean that you can dish out your own vengeance. Rule of law, and all of that jazz.

So.. this is as much his fault as hers. Yes, she's the one hauling off and hitting the guy... but by standing there and taking it he is enabling further agression. Let me give you an example. Myself and a couple of old friends used to hang out frequently. There was myself, a male friend and a female friend. She liked kicking people in the shins. My friend (the guy) always just let her kick him. I never did. I would stop her every time she tried that shit with me. You know what happened? She stopped trying to kick me and kept kicking him. He now has permenent scarring up and down his legs.. I don't. The point is.. When you are being bullied like the guy in the video... STAND UP for yourself or the other person will think what they are doing is ok and continue. It is not ok for someone, regardless of gender to hit you for ANY reason, regardless of whether it hurts or not. Stand up for yourself!
