Good--it's about time a woman is held accountable for her actions. We'll see how many years she actually serves, but this is a start.

God bless this judge; it's a nice change of pace to get on this page and see something that doesn't kill my faith in humanity, every once in a while. With so many cases of these kinds of women getting off with suspended sentences or maybe a couple of months in jail, I'm so relieved to see actual justice in the criminal justice system, and convicted child rapists actually being locked up for raping children. It's amazing when the system actually work's out the way it should

Lockhart said he agreed to take the plea to spare the young victim the trauma of testifying. The boy would have testified about the day Mitchell came to his house while his parents and siblings were at work and school and he was home sick. The victim was sexually assaulted in his own home.

The boy would have been asked about Mitchell picking him up and taking him to a local motel where she abused him. Text messages which show the way Mitchell groomed the boy and planned her assaults of him would have been addressed during the victim’s testimony as well.

The parents lament that two of their other children have moved away to live with relatives because they don’t want to face teasing in school or risk running into Mitchell. The statement spoke of a loss of feeling safe in their own home and the loss of valuable family time that should have included good memories but instead has been filled with pain, shock, and trauma.

25 years for a plea deal is significant, but evidently 100% appropriate for what this person did and the obvious harm she caused the victim, his family, and her own daughter and husband. She truly deserves not a single day less

I like that this sentence is equal to what a man would get for the same crime.
I don't like that the sentence is 25 years. That seems too harsh for anyone for this crime. 10 years seems ample.

sad part is, if she let this go to trial, the judge would've given her community service. why would anyone take a 65 year sentence is beyond me. that's basically life. i would've gone home and prepared a way to commit suicide if the trial went bad.

oh well, they asked for equality. they got it. women have been riding on the pussypass for eons already. they didnt know how good they had it. all they had to do was get their equal education and equal job opportunity and shut the fuck up but no. they had to cry a river about everything and now they got real equality. say bye bye to that pussypass.
