In other words, judges are more concerned about the emotional well-being of female rapists than they are about the children they've raped and will rape in the future. So what else is new?

And if having a "tragic past" is all a person needs to abscond from a prison sentence, probably a good 90% of male sexual predators shouldn't be in jail right now either. But I guess it's called a Pussy Pass for a reason

Firstly, two years is not a considerable amount of time ago. Secondly, she clearly states she has no qualms about doing it again, making her at a very high risk of re-offending. Thirdly, considering her inclinations I wouldn't be surprised at if she had done it more recently and simply wasn't caught for it

This sentence needs appealing. If it were a man he would have been locked up. Until there is consistency in the application of the law; the law will not change.

Hmm she'a 19 years old. The judge says "All this happened a considerable time ago, two years since the last offence."

That would make her 17 at the time of the offences. Article claims 18 for at least one offence. Those communited while 17 would make her a juvenile offender while those over would be catogorised as young offender. Throw in further time off for the guilty plea and well its lower than I would expect but not completely insane.

The the Judge would also have made their decission based on up to date repeorts rather than statements made at the time of her arrest (Ie those in the sensationalist headline).
