We don’t know the truth about what went on behind closed doors, between Heard and Depp. Perhaps we never will.

Well, you ignorant bint, you are conceding that it is possible that she made this stuff up.

But the reaction to Heard’s allegations – true or not – shines a light on the three most common responses to a woman making claims of domestic abuse: outright disbelief; the blaming of the woman herself, by accusing her of provoking an attack or not behaving like a ‘perfect victim’; or the suggestion that the story must be false because the alleged perpetrator is such a ‘good guy’.

This is what I despise, with every fiber of my being, about the feminist/progressive set: They will wave off any consideration of fact or truth, and take issue with your reaction to any misrepresentation or outright lie they tell.

"Sure, she might be lying, but how dare you call her a lying bitch! You're victim-blaming!"

She then proceeds to go into a diatribe about "victim-blaming" and domestic violence while forgetting one tiny detail:

She failed to establish that Amber Heard is a "victim" of Johnny Depp in any respect.

When we use the ‘nice guy’ defence, we continue to perpetuate the myth that an abuser can only be a nightmarish monster, in spite of overwhelming evidence otherwise.

And when we use the "nice girl" defence, like every other case, we continue to perpetuate the myth that some women can't be nightmarish monsters, in spite of overwhelming evidence otherwise.

These statistics should force us to confront the ugly truth – domestic abuse is perpetrated by the guy next to you in the coffee queue, the man in the next cubicle at work, the old friend you’ve known for years.

Oh, ignoring the fact that women perpetrate physical, emotional, and financial domestic violence just as much, the perpetrator is still obviously a man, and that's the ugly truth, right? Since they try so hard to be biased, how about go all the way and state that the perpetrator is probably Hispanic or Black? Hispanics in 1998 California were arrested twice as often as whites for domestic violence, and Black people were arrested as much as 4 times more often than whites for domestic violence.

Emotional abuse. If you alter your behaviour because you are frightened of how your partner will react, you are being abused.

You can get so much mileage out of that definition if you're not careful. With this definition, a victim can be a man who is cheating on his wife, and is afraid of telling her because he is afraid of how she'll react. In this case, the MAN is the victim. On the other hand, from her complete list, cheating on a partner is not abuse despite the wide net of reasons for physical, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse...

Another case of the Heard mentality. Pun intended.

Yes well according to Laura Bates, everything is sexism.

I remember watching a video of her on Youtube. She was all faux innocence about how she thought (when she started the EverydaySexism site) just a few people would get in touch, and she was amazed by the sheer extent of all this sexism.

She's so disingenuous, so carefully divisive, so eager to make men and women distrust each other. Foul woman.

Was talking about this with two coworkers today, one being a woman. Thankfully, we all agree that Heard is probably full of shit. The male coworker is older then the other two of us by 30 years. He said false accusations of abuse happened all the time back in his day, it's just recently that people are starting to ask more questions before judging.
