Ok, so I've been working at a pizza store for the past 6 months. We just got a new girl named Wanda (not real name) about 2 months ago, and she's one of our cashiers.

Wanda is a good worker, and generally gets along with people. She is also a young, attractive blond haired girl (this is important later) Unfortunately, everytime she tills out the register for the night (basically enters into the system how much money is in her register), she has been coming up about 30-40$ short for the past couple of weeks. She was written up/told by management to fix the problem, but was still coming up short. The breaking point was when her register came up about $70 short one night, and she was terminated. She came back in tears, and management(who are all males) told her, and I quote, "So sorry we had to let you go, if you need a good reference for the next job, just call me and I'll make sure you get it."

Now, in total we've lost about $600-700 dollars to her coming up short. She was simply let go with a slap on the wrist and nothing else came of the matter. If she did really take all the money coming up short, she got almost a months worth of pay in 2 weeks(on top of her checks shes receiving). Maybe I'm just crazy, but i feel as though if the genders were switched, and it were ME, i would've had to pay back the money and/or receive a misdemeanor/felony for theft.
