Well this is why things are the way they are now.

People, not only women have been completely absolved of consequences for their negative behavior.

If someone physically encroaches on you in an unwanted way and doesn't stop once you give warning should get leveled.

I don't care who it is.

If a guy were to raise his hand though you better believe he would never get hired anywhere again, be kicked out of uni, have his rep destroyed, and probably have some dudes in the crowd assault him as well.

Until people are held accountable for their actions again in society truly feel cause and effect this shit will continue.

i don't think this is a very good representation of society as a whole. keep in mind it's a college football game. likely blue collar type audience. and like most women, even being intoxicated, she's probably harmless. she probably came across as a total bitch. but then the opposite argument for women would be to say. "how come there aren't large crowds gathering for women football games? or rather women sports in general?"

I think you're probably right here, but my followup question is "Now what?"

What action should we as TRP subscribers take to rectify this situation? How can we change the social norms in our society? I seems to me that fighting against social norms is like trying to swim against the current.

I am not saying you're wrong in anything you've said here, I actually pretty much agree with you. But now I'm wondering. What should I do to fix this. If you posted this just to get people riled up then you are trolling. I don't think that is your intention but please let us know.

You're a joke. You think that just because someone can do something they should? Because you feel slighted by society you have the right to lash out in violence? And that makes you a man?

Beating someone whom is much weaker than you just because you have an excuse is shameful.

No real man would do anything to this woman other than what was done. A real man understands that no one is perfect. A real man has, himself, at times made silly, stupid, and egregious mistakes, and therefore, is empathetic and forgiving when confronted with the mistakes of others. A real man doesn't become angry and self-righteous when he sees women treated differently than men, because he has the fundamental knowledge that they are different from men, however slighted that fact makes you personally feel. Finally, a real man abhors violence; "it is the last refuge of the incompetent", and real men are competent. They don't hold silly grudges against society and believe that is somehow an excuse to fly off the handle and beat weaker people. Violence is a last resort, seldom required, for men. Real men possess social skills, have knowledge and experience to draw on in resolution, and most importantly, the compassion to do so.

In short, you seem to think you're a man, beating your chest feeling proud proclaiming how you would have beat this woman senseless because you're a big strong man. But real men (and women) know: it's always the loudest flashiest motherfucker in the room that's the weakest. Those who find a need to prattle on about their man like unforgivingly violent tendencies are as a genera rule, soft as linen.
