Unprovoked 'one punch' attacks are now subject to harsh penalties in Australia unless the perpetrator is a woman in which case she gets off with a small fine as usual.

I would call them every time I had a wank just to spite them.

You would have to say it in a Sean Connery voice though.

If you're refering to my old shit post, no. I feel weird that so many people have taken it so seriously and think it's some how a source of embarrrassent.

I'd call them every day at 6:15 AM, about 30 seconds after my alarm clock goes off. Just being honest.

[–]DarthStem 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well that's one way to start out your day.

[–]TedTheAtheist 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It effectively means he can never get laid again without risking prison.

When you realize feminism's end goal, it's not that far off.

[–]bcmonke 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And men will resort to lifelike sex bots. Until certain feminists try to get them banned.

[–]ItsKimeTime 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I hope the robots are programmed to say yes

[–]bcmonke 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Could you imagine if an appliance had to give consent?

[–]MarcoVincenzo 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Open source robots. Program them however you like.

Problem is, his convictions technically have no affect on whether he could be served a sexual risk order since prior convictions are not a requirement for them to be applied.

So basically... never talk to a cop. Ever. Never admit to anything, and never try to 'clear' yourself of anything. Just don't talk to a cop. 'Anything you say can and will be used against you' isn't a joke.

[–]20rakah 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i assume you've seen this?

[–]SilverHoard 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I would call them every single day since I plan on having sex daily. They didn't specify actually being able to have sex that day. What guy doesn't hope to magically get laid every day? :-)

[–]GoldenGonzo 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If you actually read the article like you are implying you did (which you didn't) you would know he is required to provide the name and address of the sexual partners 24 hours in advance.

Not so easy then.

[–]SilverHoard 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It would be quite impressive if he turned that into a pickup line though...

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd call them every day to let them know I'll be having sex with my hand the next day.

[–]Mitschu 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which is why he should find someone willing to play along. Hell, someone willing to fuck around along.

"Move in, response team, Frank reported that he was going to have sex with Rebecca today, but when we called her, she said she had no plans. We've got an attempted thought-rape on our hands here! Kick down the door!"

"Whoops, sorry, I was looking at the wrong day on my calendar. Yeah, today's Frank Fuck Friday, I thought it was Thursday for some reason."

Every day.

Dear police, here is my sex schedule, I hope you have excel...

8:12am - Morning coitus with the Missus. (My address)

8:42am - Round 2, obviously... just being thorough (My address)

12:30pm - Afternoon Rump with the Nanny (My address)

5:30pm - Post tea time spelunking with the Nanny (My address)

11:00pm - Pre-sleep dick nap with the Missus. (My address)

2:35am - Sexual encounter with Mercedez. (Behind Tesco) I take it you are all already familiar with Mercedez and know how to contact her.

and just keep going for weeks until they ask you to stop contacting them

[–]Ceruleanbluedolphin 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What happens if he gets into an actual relationship? Does he have to call in everytime he wants to have sex with that same woman?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Quid pro quo, I think it's only fair if the cops notify the public 24 hours before they plan to have sex. The public has a right to know that they aren't being punished by a bunch of hypocritical rapists.

[–]Mitschu 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I personally think it would be more fair if police in the same area were required to report 24 hours in advance that they were going to stop and search someone, or else it'd be assumed bigotry motivated. 24 hours before using any force to stop the ongoing commission of a crime, or else it'd be assumed police brutality. 24 hours before any attempted arrest, or else they'd be assumed to be unlawfully kidnapping.

Not because the police have been found guilty of abusing their power, oh no. But they're certainly at risk of it, right?

[–]ttnorac 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The man has prior convictions. Don't feel sorry for a real sex offender.

[–]rbrockway[S] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do you have any evidence to support that? Other posters have suggested it may be true also but given that his name has not been released I'm wondering how anyone without inside knowledge would know.

In any case, these orders do not require a conviction, which is what most of us find disturbing about them.

[–]MRA-automatron-2kb 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I anticipate this will become a new Deluth style law for all males.

While the females, will be free to persue the men topless and if a man fails at this 24 hour reporting condition, he will be convicted of a sex crime, put on a registry and jailed.

[–]bat_mayn 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I understand that he has prior history with sexual offenses, and I don't know the whole story - but I've never heard of anything like this. Calling authorities in advance before you have sex? This is pretty disturbing.

[–]DallasTruther -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Hopping on, I agree with you totally.

It's disturbing to have to contact authorities, I agree.

I also think that it's definitely going to be a cause of him having less sex, which I think is unnecessarily cruel.

Scene: Man meets woman, woman is interested. Either/Both flirt. Desire of sexual contact is implied (verbally or non-verbally) by one or both.

Now the guy has to decide whether to show his cards (tell her about the legal restrictions), or to pursue the interaction until she actually attempts to initiate sex, or explicitly admits her desire for sex.

Then he has to tell her that he can't have sex right now, AND needs her name, address, and DOB.

Then he has to tell her why. I can't think of any reason that wouldn't sound creepy as fuck, if coming from someone that you just met, telling you that he needs your address, DOB, and 24 hours before sexytime can start.

Reading over this, I think I might be looking at it through the lens of casual hetero sex (gay married dude here, but had early partners wary of initiating contact because of previous lewd conduct stings by police), but if a Rom-Com was made with this premise, the female lead would be ignoring a bunch of warning signs.

Everything the guy has to do in order to have sex (BEFORE HE EVEN HAS SEX) makes this punishment extremely over-the-top, and since the dude was fucking acquitted of the charge, it shouldn't have been ordered.

Sexual risk orders were introduced in England and Wales in March last year and can be applied to any individual who the police believe poses a risk of sexual harm, even if they have never been convicted of a crime.

They are civil orders imposed by magistrates at the request of police.

How about magistrates taking the lack of convictions as a reason to deny police requests?
