So tonight I head down the road to Uptown Village in Cedar Hill, TX with my 2 1/2 year old daughter because they have a big tree lighting event with a Frozen theme, complete with Elsa and Olaf. The night was awesome. It was a perfect evening. A perfect evening with the exception of the extremely hateful woman that apparently felt that because I wasn't a woman that I wasn't allowed to take up for someone or speak to her.

Woman is blocking the walkway with a massive stroller and refusing to move for a Mexican lady trying to get to her family with her baby. They are literally on the opposite side of the woman and she tells them to walk around the next opening, about 20 years away. So the lady just steps over the front of the stroller to get to her family. Woman with the stroller starts cussing at her. I ask her if I can get by and she politely allows me to pass. As I pass she says something that sounded like "sure you can slip by, at least you're not one of those filthy Mexicans." I blow it off until I hear her tell the family that they need to move because they are blocking her view. I walk back to her and call her out in front of everyone, telling her she's at a Christmas celebration and that she has no right to call people filthy Mexicans. Then tell her that she's acting about as mature as the sleeping child in her stroller. I tell her that SHE is the one blocking the walkway and people are having to walk through the flower beds to get around her. Instead of admitting fault she just looks at me and starts screaming "are you a woman? Are you a woman? You're a man so you don't get to tell me anything. Bring your kids mom over hear and let her try and talk to me that way." Politely as possible, I tell her that I'm a single father that raises my child on my own, filling the role of man and woman, that she has no right acting the way she is in front of a bunch of children, and turned away. About 5 minutes later her husband shows up...and he's Mexican. I feel so sorry for that man.
