The most ironic part of the article comes at the end.

So let's just stop all the "us and them" neanderthal club-beating about the "glass cellar" (get it?) and try to work toward everyone, regardless of gender race, sexual orientation, disability, or age being entitled to the basic human right of a decent wage. Peace.

Only 11 percent of the construction industry is female and just one percent work on building sites. Why? Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that there aren't any other women working on building sites. Obviously women are going to be put off joining sectors they've historically been excluded from at every single level. Why would any girl want to be a scaffolder when she's never seen a woman doing it?

LMAO. That's right: it's not because those jobs are FUCKING DANGEROUS, it's because cupcake is scared of the menz and doesn't have proper role models. If that's true then why did women flock to previously male-dominated fields in law and medicine?

I'm so sick of this dishonesty. Is it so hard to admit that men have a tough go of it as well? Do women always have to damsel and claim victimhood?

I didn't bother reading beyond that point. Life is too short to waste on Vice. The reality is that the earnings gap is caused by female privilege. Unless you are lucky enough to do something you love for a living, work sucks. That's why it's called work. Less work with same or superior standard of living = privilege. Controlling the majority of the money that men earn = privilege.

I used to work in an underground factory. My third week on the job, a forklift driver had his face burnt half off by battery acid. Don't tell me that women would love nothing more than to put their lives on the line every day. Instead of THANKING men for doing these dangerous jobs, feminists turn around and attack men for supposedly creating an inhospitable working environment. Talk about blaming the victim. Just fuck right off.

If only men would stop discriminating with pay, women could get more money without needing to work any differently or longer or harder from how they work right now! So when the men stop being evil bastards- and (crucially) nothing else changes in what the women do- the paychecks will be 20% fatter!

It's the argument that 'women's work is just undervalued compared to mens' that always gets me! I personally would love for feminism to win this argument - let's start paying typical women's roles the same as say plumbers, electricians and builders! You know what would happen??? The plumbers, electricians and builders would pretty much certainly say "fuck this" and go work in traditionally female jobs! why would they want to go work in dangerous, life limiting physically ruining jobs when they can sit their asses in an office chair and answer a phone all day and still walk out with the same??? Men are logical creatures - it wouldn't take long before this cold hard fact sunk in.
