At least she gets it...
[–]MaestroLogical 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
For now... How many start out like that only to be swayed in college, taught the error of their ways and sent out in to the world as good little feminist abusers? Once the fear of actual adult responsibility sets in, combined with re-enforcement from peers and gender studies professors... those privileges start twisting to be seen as oppressive.
[–]tehDemonseye 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah... Freaking scary man. Those people make an excellent job of breaking and twisting the weak minded.
Another brick in the wall.

Also you don't have to worry about having a part of your genitals hacked off, or being forced to fight in wars, or having some random person falsely accuse you, or having a ex take your money. You also enjoy being (in the case of white upper-class women) the safest fucking demographic in history, and still getting to talk about how scared you are all the time.

deleted What is this?

Let's not start stereotyping here its a small percentage of women and feminists that actually think like this. This subreddit is about fighting for men's rights not about bad mouthing women in general.

women who buy into feminism.
And the manginas too! We don't discriminate, here.
[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's not a tiny percentage of feminists. The entire ideology is predicated on the notion that women are uniquely oppressed. It's a flat-out lie to pretend otherwise. You cannot be a feminist if you do not believe that women are oppressed.
[–]Saadcrates 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Small percentage of women, not feminists. I tried reasoning with a feminist many times. Better luck teaching an islamist how to clean shave w/o razor bumps.
Feminism & egalitarianism are 2 very different things.
[–]L0gic1o1 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Let's be honest, there are a lot of white upper-middle class women who are irrationally afraid.
[–]the-tominator 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's most feminists, however most women are not feminists, thank f*ck. I think it's 30-something percent who self-identify as feminists and probably even less who actually are. So you are right that it is a minority of women, and therefore we shouldn't stereotype them that way. But it is a majority of feminists, including male feminists who gather round talking about how oppressed women are whilst women feminists tell them to 'shut up and listen' - oh the irony.

Today I was at a local Community College taking a summer class. I got a parking ticket for failing to display my parking permit(I do have one). I went to the office to appeal the ticket. Of course I was met with the frequent bureaucratic administration. Then a girl also came in. She too had received a ticket. All she had to do was start sobbing talking about how she couldn't afford it. And just like that her ticket was dismissed. They wouldn't dismiss my ticket however.

Did you show them your male privilege card?
[–]CatManDontDo 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
He forgot to display it like his parking pass.
[–]Dunkcity239 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I hate when I forget mine at home and have to go a whole day without oppressing anyone
[–]CatManDontDo 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Right it's like all my privaleges are made up by some sort of amalgamation of male power.
[–]whelponry 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Appeal the decision internally. Heck, file a Title IX complaint while you're at it if you can give a description of the girl, citing unequal treatment. Turn the tables on these fuckers for once.

I believe it's a kissy face.

Oh. Ok.

so being a girl "rocks" in the same way being a toddler "rocks"
some of us prefer adulthood and being capable individuals.
we also value ability and not inability.
[–]wazzup987 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well hopefully this will be the last or one the last generation with that prilvedge
[–]morerokk 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like you picked the right girlfriend.
[–]CapnSalty 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
But I don't equate being tolerated with respected. And I don't want to be annoying and "get away with it."
[–]tallwheel 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I don't know. If she's actually planning on doing all of those things and getting away with it, you might want to run.
[–]OtanH[S] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
She's the one defending men, I think I'm okay.
[–]Frobenioid 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
She's not defending men at all -- she's not denouncing these unfair, unearned advantages society confers on her for being in the possession of a vagina. She's boasting.
[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The above was mostly intended as a joke.
But... in all seriousness... you might want to consider. If she is this explicitly aware of what women can do to men and get away with... how do you know she won't someday try to use those things to her advantage?
[–]shameless8914 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I really wouldn't advise that. To any man. What does he get out of it?
[–]Corn-Tortilla 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why?
If I knew than what I know now, the only thing I'd put a ring on is the throttle of my motorcycle.
[–]OtanH[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Ya I'll be sure to do that after we graduate in 3 years...
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I'd wait even longer than that. College GF (I assumed college) =/= real world fiance. I dated a girl all through college but once we graduated the relationship went to shit because we weren't good for each other IRL.
[–]OtanH[S] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
We're 16 and I'm not even close to that point yet. I was joking.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Gotcha. Well, I wasted two unhappy post college years with that woman (six total and am 26 now), so I still think I have a valid point. School ain't real life. Sorry to sermonize, man.
