I would genuinely like to see consent talk in school too. But not the feminist version of "girls are the only group whose consent is important (since boys always have sex on the mind and will do it with whoever will offer) and if she even stutters before giving consent, then the boy's a rapist".

I would like to see the facts laid out to the kids. "Boys, if a girl has had even a drop of alcohol, you're a rapist." "Boys, if you've had any alcohol, no matter how much, and she says 'no', you're still a rapist."

This kind of stuff should be told to kids so they and/or their parents get outraged at the double-standards. Consent is an important thing to talk about, just as the legal/societal double-standards that exist are too.

In Canada 1 in 4 women in will experience at least one incident of sexual assault in their life. Half of these assaults will be against women under 16 years of age. That is one too many.

It took me a while to figure out what they were trying to say, but most of that time was spent trying to stop laughing.

I can't believe how dense some people have to be to think rape will simply go away if we tell people not to do it. Rape is illegal, it's a crime, people know this yet they still do it. Why? Because some people are just fucked up in this world and do horrible things. No amount of teaching will change that.

why don't we teach women not to lead men on get drunk have CONSENSUAL sex. then realize she might get called a slut after the fact and stream rape from the top of her lungs.

we don't need to teach men not to rape. we need to tell society SLUT SHAMING IS WRONG!
